I think these old classic martial arts films would make good Wuxia series...Killer of Snakes, Fox of Shaolin, Bride With White Hair, and Five Deadly Venoms

the legend of shen li is not a masterpiece but very good drama. there are a lot of things to improve. Zhao ling's performance, chemistry between ML and FL is excellent. CGI, action, BGM, songs really outstanding. actors has done their job very well but lacking an excellent script.
Wuxia peak at 00s...after that, it is a dying genre. Xianxia also not really flourish in drama, those you see in drama mostly more of costume idol drama that focus more on romance instead of journey and exploration of the MC, what Xianxia really is. Real xianxia/ XuanHuan genre flourish in animated series.

most of it same old same old, non-descript ML, baby-voiced girly FL not strong enough to lift a straw hat, let alone a sword, plenty of blood spitting, risible stupid stories, garish, cheap SFX… - really tired of Esther Wu‘s eternal frozen face and carp pout. Best about ShenLi is grown-up story, and the bird!!
