Dynamite is an homage to 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and yes MJ! Although “Dynamite” is their first full English language song, BTS hasn’t stated they will make their next album fully in English. I think it will be hard for them to do it completely in English given their use of Korean wordplay and metaphors which keeps them authentic to their sound. BTS said Dynamite is just a fun song to be enjoyed and they wanted to reach as many people as possible and bring some joy during C19. This song Just all about good vibes. The key change at the end was really jubilant. I usually gravitate towards their rap, hiphop,R&B tracks, but I can’t help but dance to Dynamite! It just puts me in a good mood! There’s a b-side MV to Dynamite with really fun outtakes and bloopers you’ll really love too!

I could curse the eff out of 2020 (it’s been awful. I’m a nurse, my little brother passed a few weeks ago, on top of everything else that’s happening), but without this COVID crap we wouldn’t have gotten Dynamite OR the new album and I can’t even imagine that. Their music gets me through such crappy times and this year is no different. Bless them for continuing to give to us (Jin even out out Abyss as a present for US on HIS birthday this week) and help make us all happier 💜

Dawn Cleaveley I am disco era too! I spend a lot of my time watching BTS and reactions. I had tickets to their concert and was so disappointed when it had to be cancelled. Let’s hope for a better 2021 as pretty much given up on 2020. 🤨
