Ridiculous, you need an oil that prevents LSPI. If there’s any doubt then why have Ford/Motorcraft released an oil in the US to combat LSPI in the eco boost engines? It’s because it’s a real issue that castrol do not seem to be addressing! Also you haven’t addressed the API rating and why it’s important to use the most modern oil available. Millers LSPI 5w30 is what you should be using. It is API SP and has been developed to prevent LSPI events which can be catastrophic to GDI engines.

What are you talking about. It’s ONLY the eco boost engines that NEED to use the 5w-20 the 1.25 zetec engine was used on fiestas all the way up until 2018 and that engines been around since 1995 and it’s recommended to use 5w30 with that. And another thing the Diesel engines from 2017 onwards recommend 5w20 not 0w20 oil it says so on the autodata website we use at work for all the services. Pretty poor video if you ask me

I'm led to believe that regular oil changes with the correct oil are essential to protect the wet belts in the 1.0 Ecoboost engine.
Doesn't the car come with an owner's manual that tells you what oil you should use?
