- Aladdin is one of most well known animated films to come out of the Disney Renaissance Era. The classic story of poor boy who finds a magic lamp and falls in love with a princess. But like most things, the internet has concocted some dark theories. Theories so dark that we had to make a video about them. #Aladdin #Disney #Theories

The best theory about this movie is that the entire story didn't happen, and it's just a lie made up by the merchant in the beginning to sell you a mediocre lamp
That's the most realistic and believable theory to be honest LOL
except for the "merchant" is actually The Genie which they reveal in the end of the third movie.
Well 1001 Arabian Nights is all about stories within stories within stories. It's not uncommon for a character to tell another character a story, inside which another character appears, who tells another story. So it doesn't really matter if the merchant was lying; he's just the frame story for the next story. In his world it may be a lie, but inside the story he tells, it's true.
@@Mithcoriel That does not make any sense to me. So you are saying every fictional story is true because inside the story, its true to the characters? That's silly.
@@RajBukhari that doesn't make any sense, the story is "real" to the characters, that's why characters "react" to what happens around them in a story. exp. Simba from the lion king crying when his dad dies. Lions don't fucking talk, but Simba's dad really did die.
these "theories" involve so much stretching that I don't think even a yoga instructor could manage it
😂
"And stretch"
"Normal or dark theory level?"
That was one hell of a burn

Honestly I'd start manipulating my way to freedom too if I was stuck in a lamp 10,000 years
Agreed
And since he could see so far ahead, and he could use his powers even without a command. He could've set everything from the start, including creating the cave of wonders and know where to hide the info so the right person gets it. So it would, in 10k years, be Aladdin who gets the lamp.
If I was Aladdin, and I found out the Gene manipulated me for freedom, I would forgive him. True, he put my life in danger, but I still got what I wanted at the end, and I also don't have a good past, so everyone makes mistakes.
@@master-a8450 I'd "forgive" him. Personally I don't think there is anything to forgive. He did what he had to do. Can he be blamed for wanting freedom? And if he knew I'd end up freeing him, then he knew I'll survive all that. So chances are I was never truly in danger. I wouldn't judge him or be bothered. Nor see it as he making a mistake. More like making an elaborate plan. To me, that's commendable.
Omizuke Well, he still put Aladdin through anguish. He spent many years being homeless. Me, personally, I would have nothing against him. I just feel that character would have a lot to process.
remember the whole story was just a sales pitch to sell the lamp
Light Shade yep
"Yeah, I think I'll pass; great story though."
There's that too.
The genie was the salesman, though
would be kinda funny/interesting if the person that the merchant was trying to sell the lamp too, turned out to be Scheherazade, the main character and storyteller of One Thousand and One Nights.
I've got two theories.
1) Maybe it's just a movie.
2) We've all got too much time on our hands.
indeed
Both confirmed.
Agreed
Genie can't kill anyone.
Genie can't make someone fall in love.
Genie can't bring people back from the dead.
Genie can't grant a wish that grants more wishes.
Nowhere does it forbid time travel or oracular powers.
Tbf, I am not forbidden to time travel either, that doesnt mean I CAN.
The absence of proof to the contrary doesn't make the original premise true.
@@omikronweapon Do you have PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER? The genie is established to have phenomenal cosmic power, limited only by his claimed limitations.
Or occult powers and magic.

lol
My Theory: The Genie LITERALLY did turn Aladdin into a Prince. He altered reality to a point where Prince Ali is a real ruler of a real nation. Proof of this is when The Sultan meets Prince Ali, he seems to know about him and says, "Oh course, Prince Ali Ababwa, delighted to meet you."
Or, more likely, the sultan just heard the city-wide musical number that introduced him
I always took that as the bumbling Sultan pretending to know, just so he doesn't appear to not know.
@@NeonNeedsANap 😂 Right
Aladdin was already a prince
The prince of thief
The genie just maked him a favour and gave him a parade
isnt it amazing how well the animation held up so many years later?
perhaps because there is nothing new basically in 2d animation,...
Drawn does not age.
And how the live action is already dated before it even released.
Saying that it's like saying that it's Gioconda it'd a good picture being hundreds of centuries old.
Or a sailor story to entertain his children
Not a "dark" theory, per se, but my favourite theory is that when Aladdin wishes to be a prince, while Genie dresses him up as one, the actual magic doesn't affect Aladdin, but it instead affects his father by giving HIM the big break that allowed him to take control of the desert thieves... thus making him the "King of Thieves", and therefore making Aladdin the "Prince of Thieves"
That is actually pretty legit. Wow.
@@hierony5471 It's the only theory about the movies that make the most sense to me. All others seem like too much of a stretch.
I theorized that same point
Genies are in most arabian myths, creatures of manipulations and misstrust. They will give the master what they want, but with an twist
@@andmos1001 Indeed, that's why people see Jafar's version so much more in-line with the mythos.
That's also why I like the theory I mentioned... While not doing it purposely or maliciously, Genie's magic working in that way would keep it more to the mythos as well. "You wish to be a prince? Fine... I'll give you nothing and this man who's your father (even though you don't know him) everything instead!"

Most theories on Disney movies are just overanalysing but the post apocalyptic one is too much LOL modern era references are just for fun
Agreed. It's a kids movie so they aren't focusing on historical accuracy, but relatable content which includes modern day objects.
Exactly! It's kindve a courtesy and treat for the audience
They were trying to get people to buy Disney stuff and travel to Disney world lol
Theodosia agree it’s just robin Williams being Robin Williams
@@FLMan_79 yep, if it was historically accurate jasmine would be married by 12 to some old man with a santa beard and a fuck ton.of oil money
If Genie is able to see the future, wouldn’t he have already known that he would gain his freedom from Aladdin?
Also, how did Aladdin trick him? Wouldn't the Genie know about the trickery before it happened?
Easy, Isn't Genie telling the story? Who's singing the theme song at the very beginning?
Well, it would allow an easier time for the Genie to get out of the cave and potentially gain his freedom is Aladdin was out of the cave.
I think his future vision may work like garnets in Steven universe, he can see multiple possible outcomes but not exactly the right one
It's possible that genie wishes can change time. This is a possibility because there isn't anything in the genie rules about changing the future or past. Genies are probably aware of when the timeline is changed and retain memories of the altered timeline, but only after its actually changed.
The future one is wrong, based on one line that's spoken in the film.
Genie tells Aladdin that he'd never find another woman like Jasmine in a million years, then goes "Believe me -- I've looked."
This would imply that certain things in the time line are fixed, and certain things are in flux. The Nicholson, Arnold, and Arsenio references (to name a few) are based on fixed points, and the Genie can see them. He could also see if Aladdin would meet another woman like Jasmine within one million years. He does not.
This would mean that the post-apocalyptic future theory cannot work -- it's just Genie with mental (and physical) knowledge of future events, but not ALL events.
Basically, the Genie is all wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey.
Oooh good point, good point.
Charles lee I think like you said its just genie having knowledge of all things past , present, and future hence how he knows modern things all of these theories make no sense especially jafar being the good guy
Also, the Genie could easily have a hard time telling just how much time's passing while he's in the lamp, so 10,000 years could just be a rounded off guess of what he thought was the case. It could be that he was only stuck in there for a few hundred years and just didn't realize it.
yeah and in the song we saw the world right and might or carpet a time machine
Exactly, I always saw Genie's pop culture references like Merlin from "The Sword in the Stone" he makes references to the future, because he can see it.
I feel like the live action Aladdin fixed the Genie manipulator one. They changed some of the lines🤷🏼♀️
2 Tastic Sisters yeah I agree but a whole new world was quite dodgy
Yeah I saw it and it was super different . I saw it at the El Capitan theatre
Why does it have to be "fixed" at all?? It's like you're buying into these crazy ass theories? 😂. Wow, are you a grown up?
Jafar: Slave! I am your new master!
Genie (out loud): I was afraid of that...
Genie (thoughts): *Keikaku doori...*
If a man marries a princess, that man is technically considered a prince (or rather, a prince-consort).
Gotta love them technicalities. Last theory does not crumble. The wish got granted as designed.
that wasn't prove true in the princesses and frog? when tania marrige naveen? she became a princesses so their wedding kiss broke the curse xD?
Royal succession worked very differently in different times and cultures.
Nowadays perhaps, but in the past a princess often took her husband's title. For example Princess Mary, the sister of Henry VIII. She first married the King of France and when he died became Dowager Queen of France. Then later on she married the Duke of Suffolk. The Duke was not known as a Prince than. In fact the dowager Queen of France was often referred to as the Duchess of Suffolk.
If I remember correctly, even the wives of princes, who did not have an official title with prince in it, like the Prince of Wales often were not considered Princesses, if they were not born with the title. They were instead called the duchess of York for example.
@@hekate5561 it depends tho, sometimes the man took the title (level) of the wife, other times the woman took the title (level) of the husband, there are many times princes or dukes/etc became kings/emperors because they married the wife or daughter of the last one, the general rule of thumb is unless they are the heir they take the title of the lower rank. so if the princess is the heir she will be the princess even after marriage and her husband will get the title prince, but if she is not the heir she downgrades to his title level (say duke/dutchess), same with princes.
the wife of the prince of wales is the princess of wales (unless she is the second+ wife, hence Dianna was the princess of wales but Camilla is the Duchess of Cornwall ), this has been tradition since atleast 1246. before the english took the title for their heirs in the 1300s
@@matthiuskoenig3378
That is true. But as far as I know, even if the princess is heir in most regions that still didn't make her spouse prince, if she was not the official heir. To put it bluntly, their fathers still hoped that there would be a son, so a princess' spouse only became royalty, if he was not before marriage, when she became Queen.
Of course since the Sultan did not seem inclined to remarry and only had this one child, Jasmine could have been the official heir.

I agree!
That’s how I feel too especially about the theory about A Whole New World.
"Jafar was the good guy."
I was honestly waiting for you to bring up Starkid's musical "Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier".
It presents Jafar as the good guy, trying to save the city from the incompetent, corrupt sultan. And as for the lamp, Jafar is looking for it because he wants to wish his beloved wife back from the dead.
A very wasted opportunity. Especially with the importance or Rajas love life
@Most Deadest Pool of em All. In the Disney film, yes, but in "Twisted", it's never mentioned. The Genie in that musical doesn't do much beyond saying lines that only consist of pop culture references, to the point where other characters are like, "Would you please stop acting like an asshole and start granting wishes already?"

The whole part of Aladdin no longer being a prince is because Jafar undoes the magic when he uses his sorcerer powers. I'm surprised more people don't see that
Yeah it's not just dedressing aladdin
Here is a theory I just came up with to explain the pop culture references. We established that it is actually the genie telling the story, as it's Robin Williams voicing the narrator in the beginning. It has been hypothesized that he skewed his story to make himself look like the good guy, but I think he skewed it in a different way. What is not told is how long ago the story took place. What if that beginning sequence took place in modern times, and the genie inserted the jokes and pop culture references in his story just for his modern audience? What if his friends have all been dead for centuries and he just tells it a little different every time he tells the story of the man who freed him? He obviously has the personality of a class clown/entertainer/comedian, so what if he just catered his story for us for the lolz?
That's the first theory I've heard that actually makes sense.
Y'all thinking too much into this 😂 it's a known fact that Robin Williams did a bunch of improv for this. Iirc, Aladdin was even denied most original script or something because of all the lines he added in.
That's the whole point of fan theories though. It's just for fun; speculating scenarios that make sense of the writers and producers flaws and inconsistencies. The truth of what goes on behind the scenes of how these movies are made is actually very boring and disappointing.
@@BlissfulBluebell Thank you! Someone gets it!
@@erictrester2883 The pop culture references aren't flaws or inconsistencies. They make sense because audiences back in 1992 and beyond would've understood and appreciated them for their relevancy. They're not tied into the film's storyline at all.
I still think the reason Genie was so nervous when Aladdin implied Genie was more powerful than Jafar,
was because Jafar MIGHT'VE just destroyed the Lamp, and Genie in the process.
he was already the 'most powerful sorcerer in the world',
and if I were Genie, I'd worry a bit over how useful I still was. Third Wish, or not.
I never actually thought of that reason. It definitely holds up.
Aren’t there other Genies in the world though?
@@assasainscreed786 If they were that common, Jafar wouldn't had spent 'years' searching for the one Genie in the Cave of Wonders.
So, no. I doubt there are many in the world.
@@MetroXLR Maybe Jafar couldn't find clues that lead to other genie locations? Maybe Genie was the only one left?
Or Genie is so all-powerful that one of his talents is omniscience. He knows past, present and future, and is able to live out in all timelines. He's basically God if God was limited to life in a lamp and having to grant 3 wishes.
The live action Aladdin basically says that Genie IS God: the most powerful being in the universe, and yet he'd rather be a human.
Genie has fourth-wall awareness, as seen at the end of aladdin
Who is here after the live action?? The characters are wayyyyy more different than the original one in a good way
Me
I think the deal with the Genie is he is an multi-dimensional being that can travel and see through time, like Merlin from the Sword in the Stone and I never hear anyone say that is set in a post apocalyptic future.
But now it's in my head that Camelot is just in a different era of the post apocalyptic story. What if Merlin IS Genie?
Merlin actually lives time backwards. Our past is his future, our future his past sort of thing.
You guys have way too much free time lol!
Amen
It takes them like 2 seconds to make one of these videos
Kadar Abdullah... yeah...but who is watching and commenting? 🤔
Sounds like a person w a bit of free time on their hands.
What if...
We know that the genie is deceitful and devious and REALLY wants freedom. And we also know that he can shapeshift (like in the pop culture references). So what if he shapeshifted into the merchant to tell people to buy his lamp because he knew that he could manipulate the buyer to free him? That explains why both characters are voiced by Robin Williams too...
Wasn't he already free once Aladdin made his last wish???
Reina Van Leeuwen oh wow
@@dreamypurrz she's saying he made the whole thing up to get them to buy it
I believe that. He used the drowning wish as the second wish just so Aladdin would free him with the third!

So Jasmine is the smartest character in the movie but at the same time, is nothing but a spoiled princess? Talk about inconsistency. Most of the “points” you brought up are either very weak or incorrect. The only things right here is that the sultan is an idiot and Jafar has no idea what he wants from the lamp. He just wants it to be sultan which is pretty much is
YamiNoGame jafar being the middle man is the most ridiculous theory I've ever heard he was clearly the mastermind and sought to control the city for himself the only thing that's true is jafar had no idead what he wanted from the lamp I also do not buy jafar being the good guy he has clearly killed people before the start of the movie making the theory of him being the good guy untrue
yea but those are two separate theories which is the reason for the inconsistency
all these theories are fucking stupid.
@@tylerheldmann1 well, jafar is 'good' as in being a 'good ruler', not as in being a 'good person'. In medieval arabia the sultan would have never reached old age in this position, but jafar would have been seen as a competent ruler simply based on the prosperity and low crime of the city (as said in the video).

"What's up with all the modern pop culture references?"
It's a movie. They are put there purely for comedic value. They are not there for the characters, they're there for the audience. Aladdin is certainly not the only Disney movie to reference things (from any time period) that, while not relevant to the characters or plot of the movie, are understandable to those watching it. If anything, it would probably be explained as a time traveling genie, but I think the more obvious explanation is simply that no explanation is needed.

This theory hit me hard.. The level of depth this gives to this magical romcom is just wow... Truly a well written legend
First off all: I don’t get your theory with Jafar being the good guy! He’s still the bad guy and always will be!
Second of all: If the story of Aladdin is set way in the future, then how come that during the “whole new world” song we see parts of the world that are perfectly fine and not a wasteland?
I think what he actually meant to say was that Jafar would've been a good ruler, but he's not really a good person per se.
After all he's been manipulating the sultan for who knows how long being his vizier and all, and as far as we see it through the landscape, the citizens etc. they are doing relatively fine. Sure there is poverty, but it's not like Acraba is a total wasteland. However, he sacrificed seemingly at least one, possibly more people trying to find the lamp (for reasons that seemed not to have any logic), so that alone tells us he's not a good person.
or you know how it was simply showing us that Genie isn't restricted by time.
Plus post-apo and things like silk?

It's awesome
Theories that try to explain cartoon logic just bug me. The genie makes references cuz the writers thought it was funny and how many tickets would get sold if all the references were of things people would need a history book to understand? Also the theories around one movie being related to another cuz the eyes and hair and cheek bones are the same bug me too. It’s a company people, they reuse assets to make things move faster. Lol
Oh, no doubt. But sometimes it's fun just to go down the rabbit hole of ideas and mental gymnastics.
Only if those ideas aren’t something like bacon in Mulan! Wow it must be set in modern times!! Even though clearly it’s not. That point was weak and not worth going down the rabbit hole of tinfoil hat theories if what got you down there was just an obvious joke
@@bennu547 well no. Theories are just meant all in good fun. I personally find taking a joke or reference in the movie and basing the whole movie around it as dumb but if others enjoy it then no one should tell them they are dumb. its just separate opinions. either you like it or you dont.
You're just jealous that our tin foil hats are shiny
It’s like trying to explain anime. It just doesn’t work.
I still think Genie knows about modern times because he's time traveled under a previous master, similar to how Merlin for The Sword in The Stone can travel into the future (as seen by him coming back from the 20th century near the end of the movie.)
Aladdin has always been my favourite disney movie. I will never be able to watch it the same
i feel like a lot of people forget that jafar sent many, many people into the cave before aladdin. so many people are down there dying.
What I don’t get about Disney villains is that they always want power, but why?
Unlike most villains, Ursula was just the unloved sister of Triton. She just wanted to prove her family wrong and finally be loved.
In the film they cut that story. She just wanted revenge for being banished
With power one can gain control over one's own life. Love is to gain control over the life of others. Therefor taking power from others for ones own selfish gain can make others love one for complete dominant control of the group. Either love ones protection or suffer ones wrath.
Because power is one of the most basic motivations in the human psyche to act.
Them wanting power is actually quite simple.
@@stevenhiggins3055 In the sequel she was banished from the palace and her sister Morgana wanted to outdue Ursala because their mother played favorites.
Politicians sometimes talk about a "triad" of influence. *Talented people* can work harder and better than other people. *Wealth* is the ability to buy what you don't have. *Power* is the ability to convince or compel other people to use their talent and their wealth FOR you without having to directly repay them.
Unlike the other 2, power is extremely short-term and has a clear expiration date. However, it's by far the strongest of the 3.
Power constantly has to be renewed if you want to convince a lot of people to vote for you or win a war or become extremely wealthy or take power away from other powerful people.
That's just how the world works. What makes someone a villain is how far they compromise their morals in order to get that power.
Which is part of the reason why every good villain sees themselves as either the REAL hero or they just don't CARE about right and wrong.
Well, actually Aladdin gets to become a prince at the end of the movie, by marrying a princess.
the only line from Alladin that I remembered was when Jasmine says "Oh hello doctor, ow are you?" to that weird camel. I still don't remember y she said that
"Aladdin never gets to be an actual prince he only marry the princess" well yes and no, yes because he will go directly to king/sultan after marriage. No because attaining royalty by marriage still counts, otherwise Cinderella wouldn't be a Disney princess. As for the manipulation thing. Well considering he can see so far into the future he could've set everything 10k years prior, even creating the cave of Wonders to make sure Aladdin gets the lamp. The thing with the lamp is that he is forced to grants 3 wishes to the master. But in no way limit his powers, he used them even without the need for a command or wish. For his show, transformations, when he get them out of the cave, or when he save him from drowning. Or when he fix everything back after Jafar. Not only undoing Jafar wish, that was done with his magic directly. But also undoing what Jafar himself did as a sorcerer. And he fix all that without anyone making a wish. How come he fix the palace and the tiger and rug. All that Jafar did. But don't fix Aladdin been back a prince after Jafar change his cloth back to old one. So does that means Jafar could actually undo a Ginnie wish? Because if he can't, Aladdin is STILL a prince. He can in fact do whatever he wants. The whole ending of this movie made no sense.
shows you how easily a villain can be turned into a hero and vice versa through spin. we should probably be careful in real life not to be quick to judge and to be compassionate towards others because we may be the bad guy if we get too nasty and full of angry resolve.
my own basic meter is based on the question, "am i okay right now? is my health and life something i'm basically enduring without excessive suffering?" then i try to get thankful and think twice about hating those who may have a harder time for whatever reason. for many, life is a true nightmare for reasons that may not be readily apparent to the rest of us.
There's three types of genies: Ones that can grant any wish, regardless of consequences, Ones that can't interfere with certain elements of destiny, and ones that you have to trap to get a wish at all (and often are basically a monkey's paw)... The Genie in Aladdin is the second type. So was Jafar, when he became one. While it is debatable whether or not Genie could bring back the dead under certain exemptions, he did use the word "can't," and not "won't," meaning that bringing them back would have to not interfere with something more omnipotent than he is, and he does it under protest when he can't refuse the request. Simple as that.
Right after he says he can't, he also says he doesn't like doing it. That would mean he has done it before...... 6:38 in case you wanna double check.
@@bahamut2004 in the tv show another genie claims that the Genie from Aladdin is stronger then normal genies so he has the power to bring back the dead a power most genies don't genie law stops him from doing it

Jafar actually works for the Genie of the Lamp, he has been trying to escape his confines. You have said not to look at the outward design of the Cave of Wonders, looks oddly like the Genie. It is also the Cave that tells Jafar to seek the diamond in the rough to help him escape his prison within the cave.
Jafar was the one manipulated by the idea of what he could gain by the lamp.
Who put Genie's lamp in The Cave of Wonders to begin with? Furthermore, why did they put it in such a dangerous hidden place?and how does one go about getting bound to a lamp anyway, to be put in a crazy magic cave of death
"Every moment RED-LETTER" not "gets better." "Gets better" is Aladdin when he says "Hold your breath. It 'gets better.'"
Jasmine says "Every moment gets better". I just went and watched it. This is a kids movie, 5 year olds don't care if the lyrics repeat, nor would they notice. Google got it wrong.

It’s RED LETTER!
Aladdin wished for Genie to make him a prince
Therefore he was a prince throughout pretty much the whole movie
True, though I'd like to point out that that wish is effectively undone after Jaffar wishes to be made into the most powerful sorcerer in the world, whereupon he uses said sorcery to undo the genie's work on Aladdin's first wish to be made into a prince; this is why he couldn't technically marry Jasmine at the end of the movie, were it not for the Sultan to change the law in the end.
@@RaspK
Well, Alladin did technically become a prince the moment he married Jasmine, so he still is a prince.
@@zettovii1367 The law required him to have already been a prince beforehand, though; i.e. being a prince was a *_prerequisite_* to be eligible for marriage with Jasmine in the first place. Also, one technically does not become a prince solely via marrying into a royal family unless the rules of inheritance account for that (titles have consistently been a uniquely meandering matter throughout history).
Wait wait wait. The genie has a CREATOR?! I THOUGHT THE GENIE WAS “ALL-POWERFUL?” Who is powerful enough to CREATE GENIES?!
Other genies? I mean, that's how Jafar became one.
@Zoey Unicornia Chicken and egg.
With the theory of the a whole new world song, before the song in the balcony thing Aladin says ‘good teenagers take off their clothes’ or somthing like that and Disney disagrees but it sounds more like that
The book one thousand nights and a night was based on the story which jasmine would tell jafar to keep herself alive. However, wasn’t the characters fictional meaning the characters were pretty much fake. Meaning the story are just based on the characters which jasmine created in her stories. That what created alladin it was based on the content created by Jasmine.
OK - 1) the time frame of the story is probably around 10,000 -30,000 BC (as that is the estimated time when the Sphinx was constructed). See the water-erosion theory for more. During the ride on the carpet around the world, there was a person who was working on the nose of the Sphinx (he knocked it off). 2) Jafar did know the wishes he wanted. As soon as he got the lamp, we wanted to be Sultan ~and~ a sorcerer. So, he had all the money and power he wanted. 3) The modern pop-culture references were there because of the person who played the Genie: Robin Williams. He was a comedian who improvised and imitated quite a bit. Just look at some of his work prior to doing the voice of Aladdin.
(1)Except that the (likely specious considering that sand weathering creates the same patterns and the erosion is predominantly found on the west enclosure wall, making wind erosion far more likely) theory you specifically cite clearly dates the Sphinx between 5,000-6,000 BC. Before telling us to research something, make sure you've clarified your information. (2)You're spot on with number two, and I wondered why that theory exists. (3)It doesn't matter why the pop culture references exist. They're in the universe and must be explained.
@@pianotm ")Except that the (likely specious considering that sand weathering creates the same patterns and the erosion " - Evidently, you did not do the basic YT or Google search. You support a "theory" that is riddled with inaccuracies, falsehoods and misinformation.
While it may be advanced to the masses as "Truth", Physical Evidence suggests otherwise. The Sphinx has water erosion at the bottom of it - not sand. The Erosion patterns for Sand are different. Water leaves structures with a smooth, rounded appearance. Sand creates a sharp and more razor-like appearance. This was verified by the geologist (Ph.D) Robert Schoch.
The discovery itself was by Anthony West a few decades ago. It is rejected by the mainstream because it "flies in the face" of the Theory of Evolution and the common misconception that Egypt (and the world in general) is 6000 years old.
For the Sphinx, the water erosion took place when the Sahara was not a desert. Robert Schoch places the creation of the Sphinx closer to 10,000 BC. Anthony West says that it was built "during the Age of Leo" (it does look like a lion) which would place it closer to 30,000 BC. FYI, we were in the age of Pisces and are now transitioning to the Age of Aquarius.
When I went to Egypt, they were in the process of repairing (i.e. covering up) the evidence; however, I am sure you can find the documentary in TH-cam (narrated by Charleton Heston - I believe).
@@test1729 the "it's sand erosion uwu" theory makes me laugh. Why's it only that spot that looks like water erosion? Why aren't more monuments in Egypt that are bombarded by sand on the regular looking so smooth and bumpy? 😂
"Jaffar is the good guy", yeah, he killed people, mind control the sultan to do things against his will and wants to marry a 16 yo princess. The fandom have a creepy twisted sense of good and evil.
I think that the genie is someone like Mary Poppins, they both exist outside of time, so he can see the future, etc. I think that disproves the post apocalyptic world
The Genie can make pop references from different points in time because he's a mystical being and has "phenomenal cosmic power!" and not bound by rules of time and space which time is an illusion in the first place and becomes distorted in even our, mortal existence, without even trying everyday.
here's a dark theory jasmine was a time traveler but since it already happened before she went back in time she married Jafar and it was horrible but she had the lamp (Jafar got it for her) so she has the genie send her back in time so she can go back and marrie Aladdin
When you really think about, sometimes the Disney villains have enough facts to be considered the good guy.
...
...
Except Frollo.
The fact is Frollo had a dick and he thought through it.
You probably could justify Frollo into a sympathetic figure too if you really tried. Religion and it's strict rules brainwashed his mind and beliefs which made him do bad things. The Church has ruined a lot of lives. Most of his issues can be blamed on religion being the root cause.
Hell no.
Esmeralda was like 16 in the movie and he wanted her , sexually, and if not she would burn LITERALLY at the stake. For once I don’t blame religion for this. He was just full of his own ambition and made him a weird fuck.
Hell, the archdeacon was the one to have sympathy for Quasimodo and Esmeralda.
Frollo is a dick and a pedo.

In regards to the theory that the story takes place in the far future, genie's comment about the 3rd century is likely just a throw away line that the screenwriters didn't give any real weight to; hell maybe the genie was just joking around. And as for him knowing all about modern pop culture, the genie is extremely powerful and likely has the ability to time travel. He probably traveled to numerous historical eras prior to being imprisoned in the cave and just liked the 20th century most of all.
jasmines red outfit was based off of star wars imprisoned princess
I'm really tired of the "Aladdin is set in the future" theory. Since only one line is used to back it up I'll use one line to debunk it phenomenal cosmic power. There are three things the genie can't do, make someone love you, bring someone back from the dead, and kill someone, those are the limits. Time and space are within his power set so it really is just a lame theory .
That kind of theory honestly just makes me think of the "species with amnesia" conspiracy theory that our human history as we know it is wrong and goes back further to when things were more technologically advanced. So if you operated under the idea that our human history went back further and we suffered a cataclysm that reset us back to primitive times then Aladdin's time period being historically accurate to our current belief's past yet also post apocalyptic could make the theory valid. But that's a lot of hoops to jump through and in the end doesn't make the story anymore interesting.. unless you're linking it to Atlantis and making one of those Pixar Timeline theories.
The post apocalyptic thing sounds to me mostly like shortsighted viewers not realizing there's more than one "3rd century". Hell, who says they even have the same calendar as us? 3rd century to them could mean 20th century to us.
Besides, it's just jokes. Even IF you take them as canon, it could be a hyperbole on Genie's part saying "10000 years"
Well actually he said can’t bring ppl back from the dead and you wouldn’t wanna see that while he cringes then he grabs Aladdin by the collar and begs and pleads don’t make me like he could actually do it if it’s your will and you command him
@@roleplayingwithidiots7455 we know for sure the first rule is real, Jafar can't kill anyone after being made a genie. The second (love) has to also be real, when Aladdin starts talking about Jasmine genie reminds him of the rule, when Jafar wishes for Jasmine to love him genie starts his rules shtick instead of granting the wish. Unless we assume the genie is lying about the third rule ( I can't find any example of him lying) the third rule has to be real too. The main thing to remember is that the genie is a slave, he has to grant whatever wish is given to him.
It could also be a warning that if the wish is made it won't be what the wisher thinks, he changes form to look like a zombie when he says it, it's possible he can reanimate a corpse but not bring back the person who used to occupy it.
I have a dark theory
Jafar’s neck is bleached
Maybe there’s something to the “whole new world” theory as Aladdin plucking the flower could be a metaphor.
Here's a possible addition to Jafar being the middleman. He could've originally hired by Aladdin's father, the King of Thieves.
The logic to these theories is laughable. For example, the second theory proposes that the year is sometime after 10300 AD. But this is based on the assumption that there was no time before year 1, which is ridiculous.
When I heard the theory of jafar being the good guy, all I could think of was the starkid play Twisted: the untold story of a royal vizier. Super funny musical and is about how jafar is the good guy

My theory:
Geenie himself was once a master of a lamp and was granted three wishes, and like Jafar he got so greedy that he wished to be the most powerful being in the universe. This is supported by the fact that when Geenie flicks Jafar and Jagu back to the cave, he says "Ten thousand years in the wonderful cave should probably cool him down" (referring to the amount of time that Geenie himself spent in the cave)..
THATS WHAT I THOUGHT TOO bc he had 10,00 years to cool himself down so it would work for jafar too

The genie is supposed to be a time traveler. His magic allows this. It’s a throwback to The Sword In The Stone where Merlin does the same thing. In the original story Jaffar is a magician who wants the lamp
Omnipotent - All-powerfull
Omniscient - All-knowing.
The narrator said (@10:15) the genie is omnipotent, right? Someone who is omnipotent doesn't necessarily mean that he is omniscient. Correct me if I'm wrong because, I think, there's a difference. Thanks
What's up with all the modern pop-culture reference?!?! WELL IT'S JUST DISNEY !!

So?
So what if it is a cartoon? Just because something is animated doesn't mean it can't be appreciated beyond the surface level. The theories presented in this video aren't all that well though out, but you should never discourage someone from applying their brain to something if the work merits it, and there are plenty of animated works out there that merit deeper thinking.
