For me the idea of not being interested in a promotion and feeling like "well if not that then what?" can promote that burn-outty feeling. Sometimes its enough to show up, do great work and spend extra energy on outside creative persuits or just down time. Also sometimes I feel like a non-promotion performance goal is one that helps your office more than you sometimes so being really attuned to that when building those guidelines is something to consider.
I say this with new found perspective as a Former High Achiever™. I had kids and really had to take a step back and just get my "job done well" and nothing much else. Luckily my office is fine with that and we are aligned which is really helpful.

Thanks Charlie! That time of the year arrived and this is good inspiration for me to write my own review :D

This is indeed very vulnerable and I would most certainly be using the insights I gained in my personal review.
    As always, thanks for sharing.

Interesting video, definitely inspired for mine. Do you have any job insecurities, i feel like fully remote jobs have less job security.

    Hi,
I am following you for past 2 to 3 Years . I love your work and content
I have a request that I want you and I request you to create a detailed, deep down , fully functional road map for us and for new UX designer and also include job hunt or freelance work etc
I think you got my point
Just a humble request that will help me a lot.
    Thank you

Can you please PLEASE do a video on why you shouldn't center align every 3-5 paragraph on a mobile web design... We have interns or a fresh graduate making designs and I cannot for the life of me convince them to stop it... I've been a web developer for 10+ years now and I'm just sick of not working with a designer that is educated in the field of design :(. I want then to learn and grow but I point them in the direction but they don't have time or care to read Practical UI or other design books or blogs... >_

Hey Charli do you think that you have ADHD? I do and I know many designers do too. One of the symptoms is have problem to estimate time to deliver things. I do take meds to help control that and helped me a lot to deliver and estimate things better.
