Thank You so much for sharing this information. As a self-taught perfumer, with so much to learn, information like this is vital. I have many ingredients, naturals, aroma chemicals etc. I did not know that some needed refrigeration! I have a lot of $$ invested in ingredients. I look forward to watching all of your videos, thank you again for letting me into a world I find very secretive and closed to newcomers.
The Blueroom M, there is a useful site of "The Good Scent Company" - a list of ingredients and their description and also special storage conditions if neccessary. There are also demo formulas there and some advice of what combines good with what. Google it and you'll easily find the site. I'm a novice but sometimes I pick some useful bits of info here and there.
Thanks for this video Christophe. I'm slowly building up my catalogue of ingredients, but this really helps me get the vision of what I want to become.
Christophe, never made it to meet you, yet I used to be the Manager at The Fat Duck, so loads of inspiration and excitement for your contribution and work back in the days..Hope to meet you in person one day. merci.x
Hi sir, Im a newbie , just been in this industry for like 2 years selftaught and some courses but this video is really inspirational and keep me working on with my passion. Thanks for sharing. Much love from Vietnam and hope to have a chance to see you one day.
Thank. you so much Mr Laudamiel - as a self-taught perfumer and eternal student of fragrance creation this is an invaluable insight into the often guarded and hidden established processes and organisation behind fragrance creation. Merci!
Wow thank you so much ❤😊 it is rare tot see a parfume lab. I am so grateful for this knowledge 😊 please make more videos like this. I love the speaker for a creative atmosphere and I admire the organization of the whole lab, especially the drawers with the formulas. Are they 3 because there is one for each top, core and base notes? Thank you so much again ❤😊😊😊
Merci Christophe, I was able to create a great lesson on French perfume for my Scotland pupils with this insightful presentation of yours. I learnt a lot as well. Superb job and great idea!
Great video! I remember purchasing some body cream that turned brown just from sitting too near a warm computer, I guess the perfumer didn't do an oven test. The stench fridge is fascinating. Do you use syringes as well as pipettes to measure out precious ingredients for testing?
I remember my old job.... great..... like smelling cis 3 hexenol in fresh cut grass hehe.... or Iso Amyl Acetate while eating bananas. I worked both fragrance and artificial flavors laboratories.
