      @@faridantone7803 can the veteran say he wasn't part of corruption? Everyone was. Not until we agreed. Truth only helps. What is the interviewer trying to achieve with his program? One episode he invited former minister for health and provost of medicine in UI...these are the people that destroyed Nigeria. The elites did. Can Laolu tell them the truth? I want people that will own up . Then we can repent. Now it's all deception. So what are you appreciating here?

    • @obehiokojie4066
      @obehiokojie4066 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @EmekaOkafor-me4er My point exactly. Considering all he achieved in Cross River state, one would have expected a much better outcome. During his time, he put his state and, indeed, Nigeria on the global tourism map through programs and projects. His vision was top-notch. He sought to leverage on the comparative advantage of his state to stimulate growth in tourism and then link it to commercial and industrial activities. That was smart. This was what Dubai did and what Saudi Arabia is trying to do now. His vision was to make Cross River the Dubai of Africa. I live in the US, and most of the folks I see here want to go on a tour to Ghana. And I ask, why not Nigeria? Imagine if DD's vision and legacies were consolidated by subsequent administrations in the state, Cross River would have been raking in millions of USD from foreign tourists. I know Nigerians who would love relocate to a nice, welcoming,safe, and peaceful place and work remotely from there. We are not catching in on opportunities in Nigeria. Look, Nigeria is a goldmine. We just need smart people to run the system.

      @udojoseph3424 It is sad. I recall when I voted for the NCP and its presidential candidate, the late Gani Fawehimi. Some of my closest friends who knew about my choice laughed at me for voting for him because they said he wasn't going to win. Yes, he didn't win, but I was glad I voted for him because he checked the boxes of the parameters by which I assessed the contestants.
      If we would just be objective in our electoral choices, vote massively, and defend our votes, maybe we will be able to get it right with leadership in Nigeria.
      I do not think the situation is irredeemable. As more and more people become conscious and aware of the impact of governance on their survival, they will begin to be less sentimental and more objective in their voting choices. It may take some time, though.

    Honestly i wish Duke to rule this country. I work and live in Calabar since 2005,the legacy this man left behind in cross river, no Governor in cross river after him could compete him up till today. All those things is saying is truly what he is. Let's pray that this type of leader should rule this country. I pray that this man comes forward to contest for presidency. He is truly a great man.

    No wonder why this man was such a good governor. He is so brilliant.
    He will make a good oil minister
    He will make a good NSA.
    He will make a good economic minister.

      So he doesn't deserve to be the president? Is he not better than all the pass and present presidents?

    This is my breath of a new Nigeria. Duke and few others can set the record through, if given the opportunity.
    Your last word was very determined, " the father who fail to listen the cry of his children, has failed " and that's the truth.

    I really don't care what some people say about Don Duke. He remains the BEST governor my state ever had. He knew how to make people productive, under his reign many Crossriverians saw growth and prosperity. I will listen to his advice any day.

      He governed for 8 years and made calabar a safe haven both economic and otherwise.
      Remember Tinapa and Obudu cattle ranch.
      I am not from calabar but Donald Duke is a fine leader
