She doesn't have to hurry up because you don't want Trump to be elected. There is no law that says she has to. The defendant has a right to a speedy trial if they want it, not the prosecution. Lawfare and the law are 2 different things.

We really need to be talking about Politico reporting that in recent unsealed motions in the Trump Docs Case:
“Trump adviser… acknowledged scanning the contents of the box that contained the classified materials… and storing them on a personal laptop…” This is much worse than obstruction...
It’s my understanding that those docs were stored in the cloud. Security be damned.
We already heard a while ago (around the time of the search) about the classified documents being scanned onto a laptop and put onto a flash drive, but it's understandable that so many people may have forgotten about it because of the absolute deluge of Trump-related stuff we hear every day.
Everyone we didn't want to have those document either have them or will get them for a bribe or favor returned. PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY VOTING FOR THIS

One of these things could have been happenstance; not all of them.
Well, technically Trump got his lawyers to get the case assigned to Cannon. His intentions were clear in both picking her as a judge and picking her for the case, considering she was not anywhere near the closest judge to where the alleged crime was committed. But your layout of arguments is great.

One point that Ankush seems to be deliberately omitting:
Yes, a move to dismiss CAN be appealed by the prosecution...
...and there is a likelihood -- based on previous rulings -- that the appellate court might not only uphold the appeal, but remove her from the case.
But here's the omission:
That only applies up to the point at which a jury is seated.
After THAT, a dismissal by the judge is NOT subject to appeal.
So there is a SECOND reason for slow-walking this -- especially at THIS time:
1) Yes, to take up as much time as possible to ensure that the trial does not happen before the election.
...but also,
2) To ensure that WHEN she dismisses the case, it CANNOT not be appealed, NOR could she face disciplinary action for DOING so.
And if Ankush is the expert he claims to be, he KNOWS this.

Woodward doesn't have a point. The prosecution has no way to stop a judicial appointment. If another part of the federal government looks at this as a reason not to nominate or advise, it has the purview. He's claiming that he gets to be a judge because he took a case that creates a conflict of interest for the government. He does not.

At 2:05 Mr Khadori says "the upshot is the same" whether Cannon is merely incompetent or is actually corrupt. That is asinine. Arson is much worse than accidental fire.
He then says the case was always unlikely to make it to trial before November, which is a very unusual position among the legal experts I have heard opine on it.
Since Cannon has carefully avoided making rulings that could support a mandamus to the 11th Circuit, she evidently disagrees with him about if that is a possible outcome.
If you must invite a lawyer who doesn't make sense to get 'balance' then analyze what he says so people don't just accept it without critical thought.
Even in defending his silly claim that Cannon could just dismiss the case, he ignores that making the SC rescue her is not guaranteed and certainly not ideal.
Cannon is doing as much as she can get away with and no more, which is part of what makes it undeniable that she biased for Trump.

All due to the aforementioned corruption. And apart from his hatred and racism I can't understand what the people who support him think they gain from him. Maybe that's enough. Maybe they should just go ahead and replace red hats with white hoods and start being at least honest about his appeal.
