This relationship was the best part about the reboot for me, it was so sweet and loving. It is a prime example that in love things aren't always as shallow as we think. Overall the strongest storyline of this reboot that while I still did enjoy it I felt it fell flat compared to the US version despite the creators getting cocky and thinking they were going to do a better job. I am 36 and while I am all for being woke and for all that it seems like this reboot just focused on the shock factors mostly and very little to the characters and character development. Maybe had it gotten picked up for a second season they could have done a better job at that.

That's how I feel. When I watched the trailer for the show, I'm not going to lie I was drawing comparisons because I LOVED the original. Then, I watched it again and gave it a fair chance. This is a new QAF for a new generation. I feel like they did it right by making an entirely new series instead of a reboot.
For how I see it a remake should be better or at least at the same level as the original, otherwise it’s just a show based on another one and that’s why I’m starting to avoid remakes
it's impossible to make everyone happy. if a remake is too different from the other versions then people are mad but if it's too similar people are mad. so if u like it then who cares about other peoples opinions

As a fan of the American OG Queer As Foll. This show is missing charisma. Brian, Justin, Michael, Ted, Emmett, Mel and Lindsey. Each of those characters brought something to the show and the actors were phenomenal. This was the one show I didnt need them remaking.
The Uk version is the OG and this is technically not a remake. Since one of the characters in the REAL OG makes a small but cute cameo in this one. I think of this as an anthology series, or at least it should be, with each iteration slicing out another piece of the pie. Its funny how everytime something isnt normative ( this time the G in lgbt) it's depicted as "forced".

I really enjoyed this reimagination of the series, but I did not feel the Chemistry Between the actors playing these roles. It was not my favorite couple in the show but again I enjoyed it. If you look at the Chemistry Between the actors in the original qaf there is a huge difference

It’s amazing how many lgbtq either hated the series or didn’t bother to tune in. The series wasn’t good at all. It wasn’t properly promoted. The writing was bad. Most of the actors had no chemistry with each other. Half the people told me they weren’t going to pay for another streaming platform to watch it. The other half just thought it was rubbish.
The show was great until the last episode because the shit ain't make sense. Honestly speaking noah and Julian's love story would the only reason I'd watch season 2
Instead of opening themselves to unavoidable comparisons - false expectations and inevitable disappointments - they should have given this series a different name..

I felt the show had zero chemistry. I felt zero attraction from one another unlike the original you could feel that attraction that desire. I don’t mind the representation being added but not all Latinos identify with the one Latino guy who’s apparently a gogo dancer? Meanwhile I found reorientation in their personalities in the 2000 version, I easily connected with Brian!! I could relate to Justin early on the first episodes hiding the stuff from his awesome mom. I could in some ways relate to Michael and his skewed shyness but mostly could relate to how others loved his cuteness and how adorable he was. I also saw myself in Emmet in Teddy. Emmet is a very proud very ballsy dude despite what people say about him. Emmet is very awkward and he finds his own way to cope and I think it’s great!! All went down dark paths and how is Brian alive after all those drugs is beyond me. This reboot has the sex scenes which have zero sex appeal for me but the main guy Brady is hot AF just can’t stand his personality lol

Got that dawg in me. Meanwhile Teddy went to hell and back and I was there for it glad he came out of that very very very dark place!! I didn’t watch it back in the day oddly I always felt I knew Brian. And I always wanted to ensure I never landed in Teddy’s shoes. This new series is trying to lie to itself and to the public 🤣 Trying to say it’s no longer dog it dog and that it’s no longer survival of the fittest in the wild. It always has it always will be. And as a Latino I’m deff the Brian!!! The only Latino on QAF 2022 nothing about him is relatable.
