i still think the twins' original design is a masterpiece because at first they dont look mechanical, and a first-time player would likely just assume it's just two eyes of cthulhu. but then they reveal their true forms and the realization hits that these guys are actually death machines in disguise

Now that I think about it, a mecha version of the brain of Cthulhu is something that should be added in vanilla Terraria to be like it’s original counterpart, similar to the Eater of Worlds and the Destroyer. It will replace the Destroyer if in a crimson world with the spawn item being a mechanical spine (ingredients are iron bars soul of night and vertebra instead rotten Chunks), where the destroyer will be in a corrupt world. Unless if in a drunk world both are required to be defeated to make the jungle grow restless. Reply below if you have any ideas on what the name of the boss should be 👍

When the terminator does that weird colour-coded dash thing, you're meant to go into the clone which matches whichever colour is flashed. If you don't want to take damage, that is.

Moon Lord is way worse than this version of the Twins what do you mean? Moon Lord throw out like 50 homing attacks the only way to avoid is to run away, which isn't something you want to encourage. The twins here attack is a reasonable and much consistent way you can actually avoid even at a closer range if you know what you're doing. Moonlord is just, objectively more BS of a fight.

Most of their attacks look completely normal, with the exception of Spazmatism's spin and Retinazer's deathray-lazer thing (this one with a big stretch, mentioned it because I feel that it does look off) Spas'es flame projectiles are extremely slow and the breath attack is way shorter than the base game. Ret doesn't just lock onto you from a single angle in the first phase, in vanialla that makes horizontal movement barely useful because you could just fly up/glide down to escape spam and charges completely. Also, both of them are constantly circling you in a different 45ish angle that changes after each stationary attack. I couldn't fit this anywhere in the comment, but Slime Queen exists, and she has barely less spam than this, while being a pre-mech boss.

I like this Twins rework because it's not much of different from Vannila Terraria, They only changed a little and strengthened their attack, not the whole change their mechanic just for the sake of rework, This only work for the Twins because this boss is already Perfect It's as it is. other than that like prime or destroyer I agree tho to a total rework for them
