That looks ok. Im a fan of Farmfoods. You always find stuff you cant find anywhere else. Anyway im off to lidl tomorrow. Might get some curried chickpeas. Greetings from a mild but cloudy Holyhead.

Another nice review Graham, my family especially when when we all still lived in the family house never had a leftover meat curry on Boxing Day we always had another roast dinner usually beef as it was always turkey on Christmas day .But as we grew older my mum would do turkey and roast beef for Christmas dinner and on Boxing day she would roast a ham or gammon joint and serve it with roast potatoes mushy peas and fried eggs the leftover meat curry only came after my dad died as he never ate none British food except chicken and mushrooms and fried rice with loads of soy sauce from the Chinese takeaway and even then it would not be on Boxing Day, usually the 27th or 28th 👍👍🎄🎅🍺🥘

Good Morning Robert , thank you for the comment - as a younger person it was the same in our family house and we ate Turkey in whatever form for days afterwards ! my how things have changed - My Dad has never eaten and " Foreign Muck " a he calls it and I am sure if he tried some of it he would like it ! our palates have certainly changed over the years - we always used to go to my Grandmothers house on Boxing Day and she always made a lovely Roast Pork and all the trimmings the Pork always came from a pig my Grandfather had looked after over the year before taking it for slaughter ! personally I could not have done that as I would have become attached to the Pig ! I have had a Boxing Day Curry for years now ! Wishing You a great Boxing Day my Friend :-)

It's funny you should say that about the pig ,my mum tells us a story about when she was a child during the 2nd world war where her dad brought in a treat for the family they all thought it was a lamb. And everyone sat down for the roast except her dad ,it was only later that they found out that it was the neighbour who was a coal merchant down the road's goat and he gave it as a favour to her dad as he had helped him out delivering the coal in a winter storm 👍👍

Hi both, Boxing Day in our home was & still is bubble & squeak day with the cold meats. I'd have some buttered bread & make bubble & squeak sandwiches winth Branston Pickle or brown sauce, i liked my bubble & squeak nice & brown & crispy, not soft mush 😃👍

Same here Kate my dad would have bubble and squeak for breakfast with bacon and a fried egg and it is much better with a crispy skin on it. And it works so well with a full British breakfast, but most cafes where I live don't seem to do it they seem to offer hash browns instead but I prefer bubble and squeak with my breakfast 👍👍

@robertlindop9365 i've never had bubble & squeak with a breakfast but i think i've had sausages with it. Could just eat some now 🍽

Well that one looks good I'm just trying to think what would go with it apart from rice maybe some corn fritters . I got a King Prawn Thai Green Curry the other day from Aldi it was frozen in a steam bag to do in your microwave and it was very nice indeed it cost £1.99 the drawback being you only got 138 grams but at the price I suppose you could have 2 probably the best thing is to mix it with a packet of that microwave rice I'm sure that would work and give a bigger portion. It is certainly worth a review if you see it in your local Aldi they do King Prawns in pesto sauce as well in the same range you might fancy that one.
