  • UScooters GT-SE vs Booster V 🛴
    I was filming in the park with Melissa and decided I should make a video about the UScooters that I currently use. UScooters kindly sent me a Uscooter GT SE and a few weeks later a Booster V. Thank you UScooter.
    The reason I wanted to make the video was to share insight into what I use most often. I have several Electric Scooters to choose from and for short rides in the city, my wife and I both reach for the UScooters. I typically reach for the GT SE as it has a slightly larger deck and it's a bit more powerful for getting me up some of the hills in the city. Melissa reaches for the Booster V as she finds it smoother over the bumps and it's lighter for her to carry up the stairs to our apartment. I will use which ever one has the most charge to get me to the grocery store, into the city for photo/video shoots and to my regular tennis game a couple of kilometers down the road.
    I use two electric scooters regularly and for short runs the UScooter GT SE is the one I reach for most often. I have gone over 500 Kilometers on the GT SE and have at least 100 trips on it.

    how much range do you get on the gtse? i am always looking at the gtse and i was wondering how it would handle a 8 to 10 mile round trip commute. Thanks for making great videos btw!

      Hi Jeffrey
      My routes are typically 6 Miles or shorter...I might do a run up to the University and back and see if will make it in the next couple of weeks and let you know.
      A couple of weeks ago I went 10K (about 6 Miles and came back with 50% battery) so I thought with my size that was pretty good.
      I'm 6 foot and currently 258lbs
      I personally think that 10 Miles is about the max it would do...but will test it and see :)
      Cheers
      Tim

    Hi thanks for the amazing review, for the gt-se, it is possible to put it under the shopping cart in the grocery store?

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can! Or what I do...as I go more frequently, and buy less stuff, is pop a basket on the deck and wheel it around

    Do you think the shorter deck makes the booster "smoother" over bumps? I have 2 gt se and we love them. I do find that the display is hard to read during the day.

      HI Blake, in my experience with cars, longer wheel bases make for smoother rides...I think it's just an improved design...however I love the GT SE for short hops through the city...and with all the bike lanes is a hoot to get around faster than cars :)...the display is ok...honestly I don't look at it unless I'm stopped a red light and check the battery level :) but wow...super machine and so light :)

    Have you tried the 2020 drum version uscooters has? It's $100 less than the SE, I don't particularly need the app functionality for $100 more, but if there are other design improvements/revisions I'd go with the SE

      I'm blown away by the GT SE....still using it almost daily...in the city..powerful enough to get me up hills and it's so light...really light...no contest between the two options IMHO :)

  • @ThatAzn6irl
    @ThatAzn6irl 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video! I am deciding between the two and noticed they're the same price but the battery on the GT is a little more than the booster V (504 vs 378 Wh) - have you noticed a difference there with the batteries?

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd go with the GTSE...also it's 48v vs 36v ..so a bit more pep off the line ;)

    • @dnullify100
      @dnullify100 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was trying to decide too. The GT 2020 drum brake and the booster V are the same price. The GT SE is $100 more.
      Can't figure why they're priced that way.

    Do you find at all that the roughly 4 pound difference between the two makes any difference for portability? Debating myself whether to get the Booster V over one of the GTs, and while the 31 mile range on the GTs is great, portability might be my highest priority atm. I plan on taking it up stairs and on buses.

    • @TimsElectric
      @TimsElectric  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ates-tinal I can honestly say I can't tell he difference but I do weight lifting and I"m a big guy. My wife however does notice the 4lbs and loves her Booster V. Also FYI the 31 Miles is not even close..I personally wouldn't get more than 8 miles I'm sure of it but then I'm a big guy 265lbs and 6' tall. They're both terrific little units :) I use the Sport a lot...yesterday :)

      @@TimsElectric Ended up buying a GT Sport in early December, and I ABSOLUTELY love it. I've been using it way more than my 60lb scooter just because it's a lot easier to carry up and down my apartment stairs, and the range is surprisingly good despite the size.
