How We Create the Best BW Portraits at Weddings

How to capture dynamic portraits in 4 steps 👇🏼
1. Ask guests to stand on the mark and position them properly
2. A quick chat or exchange to build rapport, set the tone of the shoot and to find out how the guests know each other
3. Start with a safe shot of just looking into the camera and smiling
4. Begin to feel the guests out with prompts and scripts and see how they respond. We heavily “read the room” and lean into the subjects’ energy. If they’re not taking to us, we wrap it up quicker. If they’re vibing then the photos usually become more and more dynamic.
