I made some mycelium last year on Petri dishes and made some LC with that , however using it now in grain jars about 10 months later and I’m not seeing anything happen in 2 weeks , I’m Thinking my LC is useless , I don’t have much hope for if , I used glucose instead of honey , the LC grew in the jar but not doing diddly squat on my grain atm , I’m using white oyster mushroom LC , only started last year so still learning ,any advice appreciated ,cheers.
Hey mate, it sounds to me like your LC has lost its vigour. Unfortunately that happens. Did your store the LC in a fridge or elsewhere? It could also be a problem with the grains. Are they sterilised correctly? Is there fresh air exchange? My advice would be to start a new LC and go from there if possible. Let me know if you have any luck!
@@BigMush9000 ….g,day there buddy , the wheat grain I did 15 psi for 2 hrs , but possibly a mistake was I stored the LC syringe in a cupboard room temperature instead of the fridge , I’m thinking my LC might be dead sadly , oh well live and learn as they say , your right I will start over with a new LC but I will buy one and do some LC with that and see how it goes , fingers crossed I don’t screw that up . 👍
@fishmut Yeah, grains were done fine. Next time store the LC in the fridge (on the top shelf so nothing drips on the filter....better yet, cover the filter with loose fitting foil). The lower temperatures push the mycelium into a more dormant state. At room temp, the myc would have consumed all the glucose in the water and starved to death! Live and learn and try again. Im eager to hear how your next attempt works out for you! Happy growing, mate :D
