I feel as though Cassie is extremely confused about herself and her life and who she really is rather than who she should be for other people. Her backstory killed me about her dad leaving and all the things that happened to her with guys and how there’s this image about her that going back to what you said is what pressurized her into dressing for this image rather than her actual self. Cassie was one of my fav characters just bc she really did seem like a good person but she was just so confused about everything basically it interfered with what she really wanted for herself.
she would wear the more typical euphoria makeup looks from time to time. the euphoria makeup artist said that her lack of makeup for the last episode actually represented her LEAVING BEHIND that crazy lifestyle and strips down fashion wise to start to learn who she is

I feel like Cassie’s signature look IS the cutesy, pastel, more minimal clothing and makeup you see her wear.. mom jeans, sneakers, pinks, blues and cleavage flattering clothing, not to mention the more simple cute hairstyles. that IS her style. I think some of her clothing is a reflection of her true innocence and lost childhood
Fez is my favorite. He has so much love for rue and he has such a pure and kind heart. He just got mixed up in some bad stuff. I wish they had a whole episode dedicated to him.

I think the show really highlights how the character’s fashion reflects their self. In the series they emphasized that Maddi knew who she was eversince she was young and she is the most expressive in her style. While the other’s are either consistent, figuring out, etc. I love this show so much it’s creative and smart.

binge watched the entire show yesterday, and i have to say: i think lexi is one of the most interesting yet underrated characters of the show. like her sister, cassie, she dresses in a more "casual" style; unlike other characters from the show, she doesn't use it as a form of self-expression, at least not knowingly. there's a difference, though, between her and her sister; cassie's style is much more revealing, with tons of crop tops and mini dresses... we can see this throughout the whole series, but especially in episode 7, where cassie chooses a super sexy alabama worley costume and lexi just decides to dress as bob ross. i think her reserved and bland style is also a way of explaining the feelings of the character; much like cassie, she wants to fit in, but she also doesn't want people to look at her nor be the center of attention. in a way though, she envies her sister; asking her questions about hooking up or getting mad when cassie doesn't think her outfit suits her. her personality and thus style is, as well, really affected by being the token trustworthy/reliable friend and not being super close with anyone. i really hope we get some lexi narrative on the next season, though!

you can get a free one week trial of HBO if you have hulu! that’s what i did and then cancelled the trial after i finished the show lol
