Good topic! A day in the woods after a snow is the best way I know to figure what is out there and what their travel routes are. Knowledge of the terrain and how animals use it is invaluable for a hunter who means business. If you know how they use it you can also figure out how you can use it.

Yea always fun to strap on the XC skis after a new snow and slip & slide around our property and out and over to the national forest land next to us following tracks . I use to do this at work too but usually to find the 2 legged critters ...Ha !

Thanks a lot for sharing all of this. Although we live in a city, I rather be out in the woods and 'follow tracks'. Keep up the good work and stay safe. Best regards from the other side of the ocean...

I have a question I have a mild recurved bow that pulls 44 pounds at 28 inches it’s a 62 inch bow. I draw about 31 to 32, is that enough with the a 3 to 1 broadhead design. To get a clean pass through in the lung or heart area? On a whitetail deer.

Love the channel but please turn up your volumn. Mine is currently set to 100% and still I can't hear it. By the way, keep up the good work! Loving it.

The technical term for the cottontail's gait is "bounding," which I learned from the book Practical Tracking, which I'm pretty sure I learned about from one of your videos.

Love the vid. I get out when I can during the winter here in Central BC. We don't get rabbit here, we get Snow Shoe Hare. In fact I get most to try and hunt and trap the hare with and for my hawks. I like get out and look to see if wolfs or cougar in the area I want to set snares. Also I like to see where the deer and moose might be hanging out. The presence of Bobcat and coyote tracks can prompt me to find somewhere else search for hare. Looking forward to your future trap videos.

When hunting arrowheads my grandpa taught me what leverites were. Then growing up we had lots of those laying around. "What's that grandpa?"
"Leave her right there and don't touch it! That's what!!!"

I found some pictures of my backyard and it looks like a child’s footprint. It has the four toes and the indent of the foot where the instep is.
I’ve been sharing with all the hunters I know and nobody knows what it is, everyone’s confused.

Thr hind feet of a raccoon look very similar to a human foot but the toes are longer. Bears do as well.
