Something that RDR1 did much better than RDR2. The Atmosphere and ambience. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed RDR2... but It didn't even come close to RDR with its ambience. The feeling of riding through New Austin, listening to the tunes, all the animal noises... RDR1 is such an masterpiece if comes to those things.
I remember playing online for the last time in its dying days everywhere was deserted of npcs and players, I walked out of the empty Armadillo saloon to birds and sand blowing and that's where I ended my time
I hear that amigo, many good times took place in New Austin.. with a lot of old friends. Time passes but those who played this game will always preserve the memory. Outlaws to the end!
Best game of last generation and easily best game Rockstar has ever made. Red Dead Redemption Enhanced Edition or Red Dead Redemption 2 would be perfect.

I love the ambient music in RDR2, but imo RDR had a far superior soundtrack as well as ambient music. There was so much more of a dynamic feel to it. Triggernometry is still my favorite track and I still listen to it in my truck.

There is just something about the original that gives it a more authentic Wild West feel, with the soundtrack and ambience being the major factors for that. I was also far more invested in John's storyline than I ever was with Arthur's - the struggle of a persecuted former outlaw who is just trying to get his family back struck a chord.

Man I remember playing this game back in 2014 being pumped on drugs most times I would be flying through the dessert but sometimes, sometimes I didn't want to. I wanted to gently stroll along, off my horse, angling the camera so that the moon was in the background and the whole thing felt surreal to me.
I remember camping one night and i camp alot alone, but i was laying in my tent and heard food steps right at my head, they were of a person walking and my pistol was too far to reach, i laid there until they walked off, never seen who it was.

I really think they missed out on the ambient piano kind of thing in red dead 2 that they did in red dead 1. It gives the game most of its character, I’ll never understand why they chose to go for a more subtle ambient in rd2

@@2pactheg621 technically, rdr1 does have the better guns, like the advanced pistol and the Evans repeater. It all has to do with what year the game was released though and the technical issues, you know?

If this is Red Dead Redemption I'll look down there and BUT if it is Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare I'll just stay right here.... in fact I think I'll find a safer place altogether just in case this is RDR: UNDEAD NIGHTMARE I'm on my fast and very smart horse and I have a couple of fully loaded pistols, a fully loaded rifle and shotgun and plenty of ammo for all of them and several sharp knives and spurs on my steeltoed boots and several bottles of holy water and the smelly stuff that knocks 'em out.... But even if it is the original RDR all of these weapons will come in handy so I don't see any zombies down there so I am in the original but still this area is overrun with living versions of those zombies and even worser so I'm still quite prepared, well I gotta keep moving zombies or no zombies this place isn't safe after sunset so I'm headed to Armadillo and stay for the night, good night all.

Too this day I still blame myself for not being vocal enough to ask the community in wanting a new "Red Dead R-something game" and not a rehash of Redemption and its story. Have our new protagonist Arthur Morgan stand on his own as a character instead of lumping him with the previous cast y'know. That way the new fans of Red Dead can experience the "magic" we experienced, well at least for me that is, in playing Revolver as Red Harlow and Redemption as John Marston. Have a new story and theme thats slapped with the western setting and the iconic gameplay mechanic of Red Dead. But the fans kept asking for "hurr durr I want REDEMPTION 2 hurr durr" so in the end, thats what we got sadly. I still enjoy Redemption 2 though but god does it pale in comparison to the first one in terms of Story, Theme and Music.

Camel5nv the PS3 servers have been bugged for like 7 years unfortunately
@@Qourie no the servers are actually bugged, you can go to join multiplayer then it won’t finish loading. It’s been like this for so long.
The servers on Xbox One are still very active in free roam. Most gamemodes are dead though and Undead Overrun just doesn’t work :(
