    Great review. Your new break is proberly better suited to to me then the ot mc. Didn't no about the ot SC until now. Thank you

    Yeah, I got the TP3B and it would tip over especially if it's full with tools.. But that Tech OT-SC would make a great installation bag.. You could carry a bunch of stuff in it. I do hvac, refrigeration, and also work on gas & oil fired boilers and it would be good for oil burner jobs..

      It might be too small for what you do - IIRC you gotta carry a pretty good variety for doing make-ready.

    I told myself I’m sticking with the ot-mc because it really is perfect for me. So far I have been able to not buy anything else but Ofcourse the new bags are interesting.

      This form factor of bag has a point, and I think this is it, where the the materials used to construct it make it as heavy as the larger bag(s) unloaded and the usable space isn't worth the weight and the awkward size compared to the TP series.
      It's still a very cool Electrician's-style tote - I'm hoping I'll find the perfect use/load-out for it some day.
      If the inner wall of the bag had the same skinny pockets as the original OT bags I might still be using it.
      It would be perfect for the ENTIRE SET of Joblink or Testo bluetooth pressure/temp probes....manometer hoses and fitting in the center.

    Those tape measure clips are good if you are a stationary engineer with your veto on a cart. If you are a field service mechanic 👨🏻‍🔧 and you are going up and down hatch ladders the tape measure will pop right out if it gets hit from the bottom on your way down the ladder. I prefer a D-CLIP for my tape measure and if you get the right tape measure with the right belt clip it will allow the tape to easily clip on and off and it will NOT pop off. My Klein 16’ is the best tape for this. My Milwaukee tape is a little harder to clip on and off but it will not pop of either.

    Just ordered one today, where do you put your M12? I use a MB3B as a service bag and I like it but just doesn’t hold as many tools

    I like the look of this bag, especially the fact the handle can flop out the way. However, as an electrician in the UK, it looks a little small. Maybe it's good as a little service bag or electrical maintenance? Im currently using the Tech OT-LC for my electrical bag. Cheers for the video.

    • @scrambler350
      @scrambler350 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It would either be PERFECT....or too small.
      For me, doing HVAC, it wouldn't work well for getting up into attics, scuttle holes, roof hatches or fixed ladders with guard rails when being carried with a shoulder strap.
      My prefered bag is the TP4B for Service.
      If I didn't install (or another trade) i'd probably go with an electrician's style tote.

    Would you recommend as a pm bag? Is it heavier than the tpxl

    • @scrambler350
      @scrambler350 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      TP-XL is 4lbs (2 kg) empty.
      OT-SC is 5.5lbs(2.5 kg) empty.
      Totally depends on how much and what you carry - much lighter and easier to work out of than a backpack, but a little heavier and more cumbersome(square) than the Tool Pouches....though more stable.

    • @scrambler350
      @scrambler350 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Full disclose, after using it running a variety of calls today, it DOES get a little 'tippy' if you hang your Impact on the little D-ring above the tape clip - it will just lean to that side though....the impact keeps it from flopping over.
      Gonna use it all week and see how it goes - but may go back to the TP4B.
      If I didn't have to go up ladders or onto roofs - just Residential Service calls - i'd stick with the OT-SC cuz it's much more stable on uneven ground next to condensers and up in attics.

    how has the bag been working out of it, did you find a good loadout?

    • @scrambler350
      @scrambler350 ปีที่แล้ว

      I went bag to my beloved TP4b - it just fits up scuttle holes, attic ladders, and fixed ladders with the fall guards better. The bag is up with all my MC bags, the Tech-LC, and MB bags that I don't use still wrapped in the plastic.
      I might put the ones I don't use on eBay someday as a lot, or separate - but I feel like as soon as I sell them or give them away I'll find a use for them.
      Currently use the bag that comes with the Fieldpiece Joblink probes....and find that it actually works very well - in addition to being very light.
      The probes may get relocated to a Veto bag if/when the FP bag busts a zipper or tears a strap.

      Tell me about it, I have ~12 of them now, only use half of them at this point, but they're the best.
      The TP4B, Tech Pac MC, OT-XXL, OT-LC are what I use for work.
      OT-XL for the hand tools in my personal truck.
      OT-SC would probably be my bag of choice if I did install every day.

    Yeah, the pockets and layouts on that bag were not designed for HVAC Techs. It's a Electricians Tote Bag.. The Tech Pac, Tech MC,, MB, and the TP3 & TP4 we're design for HVAC techs not the OT-SC .... Should of read the description on it ??

      I like that that made this bag - but you're right, point of diminishing returns, the Tech-LC is probably the right size and as small as you wanna go.
      The weight is negligible between the two.
