Red, yellow and blue are the primary colors for paint. In terms of light, red, green and blue are the primary colors. The season is called Season of Radiance which most likely mean they’re working off light, instead of physical dye. This kinda also makes sense since they’re children of light.
I swear to god, if this cape is another IAP I'm quitting Sky for good. Also, do we immediately get to unlock all the colors? Or do we have to finish the quests to unlock them?

Yes, after completing the seasonal quest, the color jar will be unlocked, allowing you to collect colors from various areas on the map.
