Grandkids came over and we decluttered the playroom. Had a huge pile. Saw a new neighbor with a three year old and she and her husband came and took half. Yea! They were so kind, since I wouldn’t accept money they insisted they carry up the rest from the basement for me when I told them I was going to take the rest to the charity shop.
"We should all be taking a shot every time I say swap party." -You made me laugh out loud today. So funny. The little ramekins reminded me of some cups I have not used in a while and could pass along. Thank you for the ideas!
I decluttered some kitchen utensils I no longer use, a smoothie maker, (yet another) plant pot, a fish tank plus accessories (gave our fish and entire aquarium set-up to a good friend who loves fish; we were finding it a chore), some clothes that no longer fit my kids, a plant stand, a glass storage container (too tall for any cupboard), unused baking accessories and a cushion! I’m always amazed at how decluttering one item can lead to more. I also find it encourages me to clean the area, too; while decluttering the baking accessories and utensils I cleaned out the cupboard and drawer that I keep these things in. When I decluttering the plant stand, I rearranged an area I wasn’t happy with, cleaned it all and pruned the plant while there! Thank you for your inspiration, Diane. As always, a very lovely video and an encouragement to keep going.
I love the ah ha moments when I’m organizing the closet and realize I keep moving the extra vacuum attachments that are essentially duplicates that I never use from here to there and grumbling about them. Finally I say… just declutter these already! What a glorious feeling.

Thank you:) stuff i have decluttered in the past few days including today: A book( working on more books but want to read them first!), a hand cream that I didn’t like, some sponges which were past their prime, lots of plant pots.. i have gradually reduced the amount of plants in the house so i wont need lots of decorative pots…a small vase, some plates, 4 packs of beautiful chop sticks which i never used…in the bathroom - an old face-wash which i no longer use, and a mouthwash which I didn’t like, also a face cloth which has seen better days, my husband’s 2 bottles of aftershave, which he hasn’t used in 23 years lol. I need to go through my shoes so i might do those tomorrow! Thank you for the inspiration:)

A neighbor of mine asked for donations for her mum, who had to be relocated. I went through my linen closet and was able to give her towels, blankets, paper towels, tissues and a few other things she needed. I was worried my family would be upset with me, they weren't. We still had plenty, and it felt good to help someone who lost so much.
We just moved from California to Washington state to be closer to our daughter and her family. I thought I decluttered a lot before the move, but since we downsized a bit, I’m needing to go through “stuff” again. Your videos are very helpful, prompting do I really need or use! Thank you.
An over six year old 3 wick scented candle I really disliked stashed way in back of a supply cabinet and totally forgotten about was tossed out today. I returned a completed book to the local Little Free Library. And, while tossing out excess packaging yesterday, I found some waste basket liners, which saves buying more for a few months. Still have Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to go. This has been very worthwhile. Thanks, Diane.
Will try to put ‘a thing a day’ in my daily habit routine. Going to work on it for 30 days so it sticks in my mind and becomes automatic. Thanks for making me realize it belongs in my daily routines.
This week I'm decluttering multiple pairs of shoes, face creams, tablecloths, cloth napkins and a backpack. Whew! Now that I'm in the zone I'm going to do my best to keep it up!

But it’s true: I have my favourites, too and use them over and over again, the emerald forms are boring and very used, but their size fits perfectly and meanwhile I use them with paper, too. I decluttered very old travel size toiletries. I had those same IKEA plastic decorative pieces for plates for many years and those finally went a few years ago. I love the moment when my brain gets clear and I realize I’m never going to use something. It then becomes much easier.

I am very surprised that you keep finding so many things to declutter! Yay you! I have a big box that I am filling that will be picked up by a local charity at the end of the month. Today I found another top to go in and I already have 10 items in the box. I've taken 14 things out to other places so I should be close to declutering one item a day by the end of August.

I’m in the “messy middle” of decluttering where I’ve gotten rid of all of the surface level clutter that I can think of. Today, I’ll be taking another look through my jewelry box and getting rid of some earrings and necklaces. And I’ll have a look in our utility drawers as well!
