I love your dresses. As an artist who until recently, was extremely overweight, I tended to dress to hide. Now after a year of effort, I am trying to wear clothing that matches my creative side. I adore all your dresses. At 62 I put on weight for the first time since I was fourteen years old. It has been very hard and yes, goodbye to many treasured garments. I also found trousers and boring tops to wear. Here is the thing, as a regular thrifter, I would see immaculate and very interesting pieces all the time, but they were always size 16 or more, now that world has opened up for me. I always wondered why these large sized clothes were more varied and interesting than the 10's and 12's. Is it the effort to love ones shape, or to hide it with good design and fabric? Any way, you look exquisite and unique, love your jewelry pieces. I am also an air sign and very floaty, I get your cloud desires but having a good bit of weight is actually very grounding, I feel more real, unbothered by others around my space. Much love.
I don't place much value in dressing like an artist. I'm an artist and don't need to prove anything on the outside. There's a stereotype that artists need to dress a certain way, smell a certain way, and talk about their art all the time. Yes, getting dressed can be a creative expression, but to do it as proof of being an artist is just too pretentious for me. I just dress how I feel that day, and put my passion into my medium. I've been snubbed by artists seeing me as dressing too simple, who they themselves strive to project an image, to show off that they're special because they're artists. I guess because of this I was turned off from trying too hard.
