Looks incredible and performance isn't too bad for native 4k maxed with DLAA. With frame gen and DLSS it'll probably be easy 100+ fps

No. Stop using dlss and frame generation as an excuse. Never say it’s acceptable because it’s used as an excuse for optimization. 4K60 minimum not 4K45

Get with the times. UE5 was designed with upscaling in mind. Considering the visuals, this performance isn't too bad. The most important thing is that it's not stuttery/CPU limited@@NeedlessEscape

@@ShartenderBaer No. This game should be able to do 4k60 minimum on a 4090 and 4k50 on a 4080 super. It’s not optimized enough. Last gen games got 4K90 with ease. However, it is max settings so.

There's a difference between demanding and bad optimization. Bad optimization would be if the game had severe stuttering issues or looked bad while running like this, but this is not the case. I think you underestimate what kind of technical jump nanite is. No more LOD trickery in games. Backgrounds at times look photorealistic. Idk why people are so obsessed with using native 4k, the majority can not tell a difference between native 4k with TAA and DLSS quality, and there have been even instances where native 4K with TAA looked worse than DLSSQ.
I found that some people that are critical of DLSS or frame generation have never actually tried it, like one of my friends. Now he tried FG with lossless scaling on his 1080Ti and he's instantly a fan of the tech.

@@ShartenderBaer My issue is 5120x1440 on a 32:9 aspect ratio. Only useful upscaling method is DLSS Ultra Quality because Quality is 900p resolution. Typically 10-25% more performance than 4K. Planning on a 5080 to upgrade from a 3070m. I’m expecting the 5080 to be 15-20% faster than a 4090. You are right, i dont understand the technical details of nanite and quickly concluded it was a gimmick out of my own laziness.
