The movie was filmed before that chaos happened technically she just speaking of irony of it mirroring it. And the mob approach is clearly just an homage to Halloween 4 but it also fits within the narrative of the story. It's not like it's just smeared without any relevance.

I love Halloween. I live for Halloween like it my Christmas. Now what I'm hearing about this next movie and the direction it's going in with the super natural stuff and giving Michael a reason why he kills I have a problem with. Why because the X ed out Halloween 2 1981 because they didn't want Michael to have a reason why he kills being that he was after his sister and now they are giving him a reason again. Ya I have issue with that. I'll still watch it, but to me Halloween 2 1981 is my favorite. Why because it's the creepiest of them all. It has the best settings and it shows just how creepy Michael is. Bye the way Rob Zombies Halloweens suck ass.

@@CPSlayer Not really the same thing. What she’s hinting at here is political ideology. We get way too much of that already in real life. Most people watch movies (especially horror movies) to escape these things, so I think it would be a mistake to insert any sort of political message into a Halloween movie.
