    Hi Jeven, you got yourself an amazing video here. Wow. So easy to understand. You're a great teacher. BTW, I had to take a guess, and Google what a "white cyc" was... couldn't spell it correctly either, so thanks Google ! ..... for those wondering here's one definition. You learn something everyday don't ya ! ---> 'Cyc' is an abbreviated term for cyclorama, also referred to as a cyclorama wall or cyc wall. Webster defines a cyclorama as "a curved wall used as a background of a stage set to suggest unlimited space."

    Hi Jeven, thanks a lot for the tutorial. I lit my background just like you did, leaving a bit of grey shadows on the floor, but now playing with the curves alone doesn't do the job removing them completely. Could you explain what other steps could be helpful to bring it to perfect white while maintaining nice skin colors and so on?

      Same process. Just throw a LUT on while shooting so you are not looking at log while filming. That way you can use the false color

    I went through 15 different videos in TH-cam and this one was only one what actually showed what is being used for background lighting. But can you do it with cheaper possibilities. I have 2 200 dollars lighting and white background but whatever lights I use for background, it still comes off grey. What light do you recommend? My budget is max 500 dollars

    Great video - thanks! I have a question, though - as I seem to have screwed up a setting somewhere. I've been shooting on a white screen background for a while. Everything's been great. But all of a sudden I'm starting to get a sort of thick fuzzy black outline around the subject (me). I've obviously changed a camera setting somewhere. It seems to be an exposure thing, but I can't figure out how to fix it. Any suggestions?

    Hi Jeven, so you moved the white above 100, you say bringing the white level "down" on luma curve, I thought that's not a good idea going above 100? thanks for the video!

    • @JevenDovey
      @JevenDovey  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on what you're trying to achieve. 100 is complete white. So if you're going for that ultrawhite background look then you bring the luma up to 100. If you want a little information in there then you bring it just under
