There is a mistake in this video!
You should ALWAYS clip 1 carabiner with the opening downwards and 1 with the opening upwards!

@@adrianScu Oops just noticed the comment today! Well, I never bought any via ferrata kit. Truth is, you can do without it - if you are willing to take the risk. But careful, some alpinist guides might scold you for it. In more than 2 years I climbed a lot without any equipment like in Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Via delle Bocchette in Brenta, Sass Putia, Passo pordoi, Passo sella, and more. If you wanna see my photos, please see my IG account: Kaying Oznemen :)

@@leighfrancisnemenzo9012 Haha! thanks for the reply! We do a lot of hiking (even on harder trails with lots of climbing) but we did our first via ferratas last week, with a lot of vertical climbs / overhangs, so our rented via ferrata kits came in really handy! The last two experiences really opened up my appetite and will surely visit some of your recommendations. Also, lovely photos on instagram!
      Regards!

@@adrianScu Nice one! Thank you for the compliments! And glad to know you're doing more treks and via ferratas in the dolomites! If you do it often, i'd recommend you to just buy the kit. It doesn't have to be all expensive. For the harness, you'd see a cheap ones in Decathon, for the clips (dont know how to call it) try sportler, also you can buy a whole set in sportler (harness, clips, and helmet) and save more. ;)

so little actual information. Only one person per wire stretch. Carabiners should be clipped up&down. It is paramount that you don't unclip both carabiners, but unclip and clip into the next section one, and then the other... High quality production, low quality information in this video...
Even the part about checking the equipment is brushed over. Check the absorber, show how it should be threaded.. so dissapointing.

Thank you so much for your important feedback. We totally agree with the carabiners, they should be clipped one after the other so that you are still secured on the Via Ferrata. This is also shown correctly in our video. Of course the equipment should be checked in advance, you are totally right. Please make sure to do the first Via Ferrata with a guide, he will have further important advices. ☝ We hope that you like our other climbing videos and wish you a good afternoon. 🤗
