I completely agree tbh, even though both games are clearly masterpieces and have their own pros and cons Minecrafts lazy developers and terrible fanbase made it fall below Terraria in the past 7-8 years
they really should've just stuck with actual survival instead of increasing so many "quality of life" changes that the game became completely meaningless this is something i'm happy the terraria devs haven't overdone, while having 9999 stack size limits might seem extreme it really doesn't mess anything up, and i really fucking wish it was implemented in minecraft since the playstyle mojang is clearly trying to promote would HEAVILY benefit from it so on and so forth, basically out, terraria devs know what the hell they're doing 💀
As someone who started in 1.2 mobile, I would have to agree. Minecraft is still great but Terraria is a little bit better. I still play them regularly and have a blast doing so.
a few minor critisisms (constructive critisism of course ;) ) Combat- minecraft has 16 weapons (not including potions, TNT, and all that miscellaneous stuff) but apart from that you're totally right with this one. Creativity- not a critisism against you but the general community. a lot of times people argue that terraria has better creativity because it has so many furniture, blocks, items, etc. but the charm of minecraft creativity is the fact that you can design your own furniture, interiors, etc. Multiplayer- multiplayer on minecraft doesnt cost money on the Bedrock Edition (the cross-platform, more popular version). not saying you're wrong, you just missed out info. Price- completely true. nothing wrong here Updates- while its true that minecraft updates are getting smaller recently, the truth is thats always been the case. the only time minecraft updates have been big was from 2018-2021 when minecraft was regaining popularity and mojang had the motivation to make bigger updates. Anyway, thats all I have to say. Im not trying to start any fights here, i simply just wanted to add some information you missed out or got a bit wrong.
Minecraft and terraria beef has to stop because it’s just annoying how I can’t talk about terraria without someone saying “Terraria Is just 2D Minecraft “ no one cares Desmond shut up
After the underwhelming Minecraft Live and how the devs ignored their community, compared to how well ReLogic is doing, i agree
i'd say putting out 3 massive updates and 3 smaller updates in five years is a lot better than making one update in five years

Forgot to mention progression where terraria mauls minecraft
minecraft has optional and custom progression while terraria forces you to progress in order to access certain contents
More content even if you dont progress with bosses...@@Ethan_Cubed

Terraria actually does have some really good multiplayer, and you dont need any third party for it
