This is the only way you can experience the teachings of Sri Ramana. The pertinent question is, will you follow Michael’s lead? 🙏
Pure Awareness in sleep is just a pointer and not reality for your real being is inexpressible in words. Awareness in sleep metaphor is not to be taken literally. Pure awareness cannot be described.
I think we feel sad when our relative dies bz we don't know what we are. It is lack of love we given to died person when he was alive. We can only pray for him. Everbody dies for his best. In spiritual sense nobody dies reborn is certain for ego.
Thank you Michaelji. Even though our real nature is God, we perceive ourselves as the Ego. Hence, we as Ego, need to pray or cry out to God or Self to shower His Grace and reveal Himself. That constant Bhava or pleading is required to Love Him and remain continuously in His thought in the mind to prevent it from going outside towards the world and push it inwards towards Him. Bhagavan said Bhakthi is the mother of Jnana. In Nan Yar, Bhagavan says repeating 'I' will take you to the place where 'I' rises. Or investigating from where I rises, will assist. So I keep contemplating that my Guru Bhagavan is shining in my heart as I and bequeath Him to swallow my Ego and shine forth and reveal Himself. Is this the Love or Ichashakthi to turn within you mentioned? Please advise. Om Namo Bhagavathe Sri Arunachala Ramanaya!
It seems we are more awake in sleep than when we are awake during day. Everything upside down. Waking is sleeping, sleeping, waking? Is pure awareness truly Self or rather no-self? I cannot see how pure awareness could have an "I".
On the question how to turn within, let me just say that I have found great guidance in the instructions from Michael Langford via his awareness watching awareness instruction. You can find it in book form or TH-cam. Michael James himself has said it could very well benefit many people. It would be great if Michael James could talk about this approach also. I have seen him comment on it in his blog
The dream is assumed to be a dream, based on what we call the waking state. We assume the waking state is not a dream. But that does not mean it is a dream. To say that it is a dream is another assumption. Also, upon waking up from sleep, we have a sense that there were parts of sleep when we were not dreaming. But that could just be a residual sense in the bodybrain of the duration of total sleep time as compared to the dream time of sleep. Looking inward at awareness seems to be comprised of flashes of awareness in very recent retrospect. Like a half of a second ago. It's not direct/ immediate awareness of awareness. Although it seems that way.
Pure awareness is after nirvikalpasamadhi when all is one and you see the karma moving in Wax like the riksho ask you to jump on his bike while someone tells you in your back that you have to go here and there while y turn around and do what you have been told realising that y are not breathing and having no heartbeat. Supercouncious stage. After having nirvikalpasamadhi.

Can pure awareness be described as the witness and/or pure subjectivity? is pure awareness Atman? Swami atmananda udasin says awareness is the purist foremost expression (modification) of conciousness, Atman is one and the same as Brahman in essence? so there an individual I which is ego then there is the I prior to the individual I (aham aham) the (I-I), pure awareness, then the self- Brahman where there is no more I?

I had some sort of idea circling around his answer I just liked, but was unable neither to quest him nor answer. My ego (or not my, i have no ego, right?) is stunned through me but stll survives. The dream is assumed to be a dream, based on what we call the waking state. We assume the waking state is not a dream. But that does not mean it is a dream. To say that it is a dream is another assumption. Also, upon waking up from sleep, we have a sense that there were parts of sleep when we were not dreaming.
