Can you do a battle with the winners of this series? Like, the top one for each year…?
I always appreciate the level of transparency & honesty that you provide. These are unique takes. I love that you include Nathan's experience.
I hope the codes are corrected soon.
Thank you!
I love your sunscreen videos. 👏🏻👏🏻 Thanks for all the hard work, Sarah! And congratulations on the sponsor! That's so exciting. 💜🎉✨
Yessss. Love the onion. It hydrates my skin sooo well and takes away texture.
Thanks for all your hard work and I appreciate all the information. I hadn’t considered checking the humidity for the day. That makes sense, though. I was always blaming my own skin vs the weather.
I love the little kitten tail that pops up
This is my favourite video each year :) I love seeing your recommendations, after I finish some of my current SPF's I'll have to try out some of our top picks!
My faves are Korean sunscreens you didn’t try: Skin1004 Centella sunscreens (mineral 30 & chemical 50), Beauty of Joeson Relief, and iUnik Centella.
Those are all amazing and were in my top 5 last year!
Great, in depth video review!!! Thanks a bunch 😘
I actually really love the Goodal one!
Would love to see a video on nathans favorite sunscreens 😋
Please try Australian sunscreens! Sun protection here is taken very seriously and we have some wonderful products. My favourites are the Cancer Council SPF50+ Moisturiser Matte or the Face Day Serum SPF50+, and the Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face SPF50+. I have heard great reviews of Ultra Violette Supreme Screen, Airyday, and Hamilton Everyday Face, which I'm planning to try next.
They are just not available in North America for us to try.
@@blee8607 I just did a quick search and found the Mecca sunscreen on Refinery29 :)
I’d love to try these but they’re not available in the U. S. 😢
Aussie sunscreens really can't compare to Asian. We may have some of the strictest standards, but that also means the smallest list of approved ingredients, which means very basic formulations. Korea also takes sun protection extremely seriously, but they are constantly updating what ingredients are effective, and put a tonne of research into improvement. whereas Australia has stuck with the same ingredients for a very long time.
I used to be concerned that Asian sunscreens would not offer as much protection, but they are proving otherwise and are much (much) more cosmetically elegant 🤗
Suncut UV eye sting - another suspect for your eye sting may be Parsol SLX (if it’s not octinoxate). The eye sting in sunscreens is a massive issue for me as well, I’ve actually just finished my epic 2 years / 54 sunscreens testing experiment and discovered 4 ingredients that my eyes are sensitive to, and Parsol SLX (aka Polysilicone-15) is one of them. Hope this helps!
We love a good, well created sponsored content 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much!💗
I can’t speak for other countries, but Japanese sunscreens will reformulate every couple years. Either because new filters come to market or customer feedback etc. So it’s likely the disparity in ingredient lists is that you got a 2024 version and the other ingredient lists floating around are from previous formulations. Kose sunscreens are great tho so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. They do a lot of testing before market.
Ohh that makes sense! Thank you!
She tested Japanese sunscreen without including anessa. Not even Biore. This spoke so much abt her credibility.
I look forward to these videos every year from you! I can only imagine just how much work goes into testing and filming all these sunscreens so I appreciate these videos a lot. I actually bought a sunscreen last month that was from your previous video 😀 Also love that top on you
I love these videos! Thanks for all of the hard work!
Have you tried Hur Weightless Sun Fluid? Its the exact same product that Isntree’s Onion Fresh but regularly at a lower price, the thing with Isntree is that it contains niacinamide wich I love. 💗
Thanks for yet another thorough sunscreen review! ☀️
I tried several sunscreens from last year’s favorite sunscreens video and they did not disappoint 😬
Btw I also live in PNW (Seattle) and this summer has been the warmest so far! Thank goodness it’s not humid coz I’d find it unbearable 🥵 😅
i felt the EXACT same with the verdio sunscreen! thanks for the review!!
perfect danish pronunciation🤩
the Benton air fit is my fave, i wound up buying 3 before finishing my first tube last year! i love it for my maturing, sensitive, reactive skin and i do notice a subtle redness decrease… but it might be my imagination. Fantastic video!
Your review is so detailed, thank youuu. My experience with the Allie UV gel EX is kinda opposite to yours, it doesn't dry down on my skin and leave a slightly shiny finish, probably because I live in a hot and humid climate.
If your skin is dry, you should really try the ISA knox sun fluid and Cosrx ultra light invisible sunscreen, I heard positive reviews from people with mature or dry skin.
Pls try more Japanese SPFs!!
- anessa SPF milk
- senka SPF gel
- senka SPF milk
- number ei8ht SPF milk
- super moisture gel
- nexta sun shield serum
- kose sekkisei spf milk
My favorite video on TH-cam every year!!! 💗
Isntree was formulating their SPFs with old-gen filters so they can sell them in US, which is their primary audience. It's good that they released their newer Onion SPF to compete with the other Kbeauty SPFs, though.
PNW resident too- yes dry summers bad for my dry skin. ❤️ filters in Asian spf but find drying effect w/ time/reapplying. Heard Asian spfs cater to their humid climate which explains it. Emulsifiers like decyl glucoside offset humidity but are rather drying. I have no oil to spare. Layering moisturizer under doesn’t help much. I keep hope I may find a gem
So surprised about the omi one, it's the only one that does not sting my eyes.
I’ve noticed that the spf only burns my eyes if I’m only wearing skincare and spf that day but if I’m wearing makeup I never get eye burning. Maybe the makeup creates a barrier so it doesn’t migrate as much? In that case, I designate the eye stinging ones for makeup days.
Do you usually set your makeup/use powder color products. Bc that might be why
I have same experience with Allie sunscreen. But, it feels much better on humid days. Same with every mineral sunscreens, they feel drying when it's low humidity level
Another great sunscreen roundup video! Thank you :) The face Republic one might be for me. I need water resistance. When you say you need a moisturizer under it is that because it can be drying throughout the day? I have oily skin so I like when sunscreens are drying LOL
We both really like the iunik
I almost picked up the Isntree one at Marshall's for $12.99 because I am loving their Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel but the lower SPF is the reason I didn't. I also love the Nivea Super Water Gel Spf 50 which is an import from Japan.
Ohh will have to try the Isntree!! I love the IUNIK from last year as l love anything centella. Are you sure Nathan picked up the right bottle when he tested that 🤔😅, even I'm surprised! Great round up ❤
I know right! 😂 lol he seems to dislike any sunscreen that feels even mildly occlusive, but that one is so nice especially for dry/sensitive skin!!
I’m SHOCKED you don’t like the isntree hyaluronic acid water sun gel. I’ve tried like 40 Asian sunscreens and it’s my favorite!!
Me too 😭 everyone else loves it and I have such fomo! lol!
I really love the kose suncut UV gel but I also get sensitivity and stinging in the eye area from it. Anything similar to it in the ingredients and finish of it but without the octinoxate?
Are these products non-comedogenic? Or maybe that term is not used in Korean & Japanese skincare/cosmetics?
I’m acne prone so I don’t usually use a product unless I see that non-comedogenic claim.
Can you try: Nivea Japan Super Water Gel, Skin Aqua White and Gold, Nivea Deep Protection SPF
Octinoxate also has studies that claim it produces estrogenic activity, so I prefer staying away from those SPFs as well.
I bought the IUNIK sunscreen on your recommendation and I just received it last week, when I opened it up to try the sunscreen came out with chunks in it. It sort of looks like tiny pieces of shredded coconut? Definitely freaked me out, I'm going to email yesstyle :(
Oh no! That definitely sounds like it’s gone bad :(
I mainly only use asian sunscreens and a few Canadian sunscreens that have some newer generation filters from Garnier.. I don't think I've tried any of these sunscreens so I might be trying them out soon.. I love the isntree watery sun gel, its the one i am currently using so i wonder how these new ones will compare
The Isntree is wayyy too shiny, dewy. The newer ones are less shiny, more natural.
idk why the code isn’t working for meeee
I’m so sorry! I’m checking on it and hope to get it working for you in the next couple days. 😭
@@SarahRoseBeauty thank u sm 🥺🙌🏼 kinda glad not just me haha
Thanks 🙏💖💖💖
I get a code expired feedback :(
Oh no! I’ll check on this and hopefully get an answer for you early this week.
@@SarahRoseBeautyyeah it was expired for me too :(
me too :(
❤❤❤
Make up is seriously a game changer for women. It’s amazing xD
I prefer to get recommendations from dermatologists.
When you say you have to wear moisturizer under, you mean you dont wear moisturizer unless you are wearing those sunscreens? I mean, isnt moisturizer part of your daily routines? I wear moisturizer every single day, day and night… what do you meannnn?
Correct! I typically prefer for my sunscreen to also serve as my moisturizer. I find the fewer layers I apply to my face, the better my skin feels and the better makeup lays on top.
@@SarahRoseBeautysame. Sunscreen is my moisturizer, otherwise all the layers of moisturizer, sunscreen and foundation ball up.
Inci pronounced inky. As in the inky list skin care. That’s where they got their name.
Asia is a continent not one monolith country, culture, people, language or society. Better to call it what it is as most Asian countries don’t have their own sunscreens, Korean and Japanese sunscreens!
