  • Hey history buffs! Have you ever wondered about the hidden layers within the rich tapestry of Native American history? Today, we’re diving deep into one of the fascinating stories - the Black presence among the Blackfoot Indians. Buckle up, because this is going to be a wild ride through time! The Blackfoot Confederacy, a powerhouse of the Northwestern Plains, includes the North Peigan, South Peigan, Blood, and Siksika tribes. These tribes weren’t just neighbors; they were united by language, culture, and mutual defense treaties. Picture them as nomadic hunter-gatherers, chasing buffalo and gathering plants to survive. Now, here’s where it gets intriguing. Among these resilient tribes, there were Black individuals who played significant roles. Let’s talk about White Quiver, a name that echoes through history. Described as tall and dark-skinned, he was renowned as a warrior and horse thief. The Crow tribe even nicknamed him the big black man. But how did Black individuals become part of the Blackfoot tribes? To understand this, we need to trace the Blackfoot’s journey. Originally from the Northern Great Lakes Region, they were pushed westward by the Cree Indians. This migration led them to the Northern Plains, where they encountered various cultures and races. Historical records often describe the Blackfoot as having dark skin, comparable to Africans.

My grandmother told me the same thing! Blackfoot Indian.. hence the clue is in tue name .. it ain’t Beigefoot! The European explorers in their journals described what they saw when they came here. Who gives a damn what the detractors think. All is being revealed and what the United States Corporation has decided what is the 5 federally recognized tribes is the colonizer’s narrative and The Most High will exact justice!

My great grandparents on my maternal grandfather's side were Blackfoot Native American. Their names were Two Daddy and Two Mama. I had the pleasure of meeting my great grandfather when I was growing up. He died in 1998 at 100 years old. I never got the chance to meet my great-grandmother who died in 1963 before I was born.

Reservations were created by foreigners. They didn't know who the people were or how to cultivate the land. It's like somebody from another city coming into your house calling your mother your aunt your father your brother and your brother your sister. Then having some of their relatives pay $5 to be you. That's how the majority of the genocide was performed
