My Grandfather was born in Eidsvoll Norway in about 1895, the illegitimate son of a member of parliament and a house-maid. He was brought to Manitoba Canada and raised by his sister (?) and her husband on a homestead north of Winnipeg. I would enjoy finding out the Norwegian ancestry in my family but have no idea how to begin....
