@ontheroadadventure hi rich we have the 23 reg Africa twin could I ask which is the best way to adjust the chain would it be with the bike on the centre stand or side stand thanks
Bikesure doesn't accept starling customers 😢

I’m sure you guys are working really hard and spending every penny on the travels! Hope yt pays you well so the videos can keep coming 👍
Thanks, we really appreciate your support, it’s a balancing act but we hope to stay on your screens for a little while yet
"How can you afford to Motorcycle travel so much"
Hard work and dedication are (I suspect) high on the list of pre-requisites.
But people will always be curious about things that involve money.
I get the same every time I fill my car up. "How much did it cost?" "What do you do for a living" or even "how can you afford that"
I'm never rude, often (if time allows) will offer people the opportunity to sit in it. Like yourselves I am no "rich boy" (or girl). I merely work hard, don't drink or smoke, and I spend wisely (apart from the car 🤣)
Keep up the great work guys.
Spot on bib, it’s about choices, some people like to drink, others like to buy cars or name brand clothes… we like to put every penny we have into motorcycles and travel
@@ontheroadadventure 100%
My brother smokes and drinks and we worked out he spends more on those two things than I do on my car....nonetheless, each to his/her own.
Indeed If I were a millionaire I would happily fund the pair of you to bring us a round-the-world adventure as I like the style you work in...very relaxed, and like chatting to a mate.
Thank you bib, we just try to keep it real world. We know not everyone will see things as we do and thats ok, we all make choices and choose our paths
Clearly you guys are underplaying how much work you have put into your channel, it must be very time consuming and I really enjoy watching. Thank you
Thank you so much, you are so welcome, We do it because we love it, We love sharing our adventures and talking with like minded people here too.
I find if you want something bad enough you will find a way.
Traveling is worth the effort especially by bike it is just like
nothing else for me. Your bang on with the camping advice
so much cheaper and you make it what you want not sticking
to hotel time tables ect. Plus all the gear now you can make it
comfortable the tent`s now are fantastic. The other travelers
you meet on your journey can make it interesting in the best way.
On a personal note you don`t owe anyone an explanation how
you get away or travel . Looking forward to your next adventure
and hopefully get to shake your hands at the ABR. Keep us up to
date on any new kit please cheers.
Thanks so much, we feel the same, we don’t drink or smoke or have kids. We all make choices in life and to travel is our passion. Moto camping made it all possible for us, so we made it comfy so we would enjoy it more.
Don’t understand why people question what you can afford or not afford . Got nothing to do with others . Maybe you two should ask the ones asking how they afford their life style etc!!!! . Keep doing what you’re doing and enjoy your life style . You don’t have to answer to anyone who’s asking !!! Even though you’ve been good enough to explain . Bless ya both ❤❤
Thank you so much, we intended this video to try to inspire others to travel, we want to prove the point its not just for wealthy people, anyone who truly wants to do it really can. Theres always a way to achieve anything if you want it bad enough...
@ absolutely there is . And you e explained it well .. But some people always want to ask how you afford it ? then your house? job ? do you work ? But hey ho keep going you two . Live all the vlogs ❤️❤️
We all have to find our own path through life what works for one may not another, it’s about learning to make the best of our individual circumstances for the best outcomes
@ absolutely 👍
We aren’t that interested. As has been said, we still watch but it is the title. Keep going guys, we can dream. When everything falls in place go for it.
Today i had my first ride alone after getting the license... boy that was awesome and scary at the same time :).... certainly have to get used to my own bike (benelli trk 502) .. but tomorrow i'll ride again ! Looking forward to see where you end up :) XX
Well done bud, there’s nothing better for confidence and experience than putting miles on your bike, the more you ride the more you’ll relax and enjoy it. Well chuffed for you bud 👍
Enjoy your time on the bike.. ride safe
Thanks for sharing guys looked like a nice dry sunny day for a ride. Long as you have the right gear on its all good.
Being self employed and able to plan your trips around your own work load and life style is great.
Some sponsorship is ok but I'm sure it's not much. With both of you working and saving i guess its easy to plan and budget your trips.
Keep up the good work, cheers
Thanks David, yes it would never be possible if we were employed, we work as hard as possible in short periods between tours just enough to make it possible to go once more. We live for travel not work
@ontheroadadventure 100% guys that's the compromise eh, work hard then play hard. Keep it going guys im really enjoying see your adventures, short or long its all good. Cheers
Hi you pair I've got a couple of questions for you . . You say if you want to anyone can go off travelling which is great but I'm not sure how you two are fixed but my boss would give me my P45 if I just upped and went off for a month touring around on my bike I certainly would be living the dream but realistically I would be unemployed pretty quickly so how do you manage that especially as you go multiple times a year what's the secret to us all being able to do it ??
Secondly I pay rent some folks pay a mortgage so how can we pay these things so that when we get back we have a home to come back to ?
You say anybody can do it but surely you have to be in some kind of advantageous financial position to do it ?
We've watched you from the start when you were just doing weekends in the uk camping etc which yes most folk could cope with but now its turned into multiple trips abroad which quite frankly not many folks could do unless the had a few quid behind them. 🤷♂️
I'm guessing the TH-cam views and sponsors are paying enough to supplement the income and if you are self employed you can disappear whenever you want but yes I couldn't just go whenever I want same as you.
I cant see youtube and sponsors paying enough to support them both at the moment. Im sure you need well above 100 thousand subs... i could be wrong. I dont think they have jobs, maybe they won the lottery lol
Maybe Rich wears a Black hat and sunglasses when he is at home and is known as "H" You never know LOL 😃😃😃😃
Busted!
You are right, youtube alone does not pay enough so we work when we are not on tour
Easy I sold my first born , the house , became an MP and took all I could get and finally I had enough afford a year as a motorist in England
Such value for money....shitain... sorry Britain. just an awesome place to live!.... just don't back chat any politicians!!😂😂👍👍
Sounds like your not paying enough tax.... lol
Yes dont upset them!
So the $64000 dollar question is - what do you guys do for a job? - I`m sure the majority of us would love to spend months on tour but the biggest restriction is full time work - what`s your secret??
We are both self employed, we have flexibility in when we work but between tours we do every hour we can to build our pot and go again
Get them hours in guys as I love the tour vids 😂
Thanks, we always have an incentive to do the hard hard so we can go again to do more of what we love
Another great video. Love you buy
Cheers, Love you bye 👋
As a slightly' older' biker, I watch your vids with 'fond memories' of my 110 mile daily commute summer and winter!! Leave at 6am, home at 7pm. Those were the days. But heated grips and SEAT, made it bearable. Now well retired, I'll leave it to you youngsters. Good vid as always.
Fair play to you bud, I suspect we have it easier than you with todays winter gear and gadgets
I'm really enjoying all your vids doing my best to watch them all and so looking forward to your next adventure keep up the good work you are both so very down to earth and say it as it is well done 😊 👌🏍🏍
Thanks so much Dawn, great to have you with us
Hi Rich & Eva, love all the video content you both put out. I was just wondering what you both did for work before TH-cam?
Can't wait for your next adventures. Keep up the good work. Xx
Thanks so much TH-cam provides a income but doesn’t cover costs yet for us so between our trips we both work as much as we can and go again, we live frugally in all other aspects of our lives so we can spend our time doing what we love the most
Off to sunnier climes ! I wish I was joining you. Ride safe!
We will take you with us 👍
@ thanks guys , do I need to put factor fifty on while watching you guys?
Definitely 💯
Great vid as always.cant wait to see where you going on next adventure.ride safe guys 👍🏍
Thanks, won’t be long! See you there in the next one 👍
I don't know if you saw much of this when you were here, but out in the remote rural areas, here in Thailand, you see quite a few old folks (especially grandmas) using ebikes. You often see them riding into the village to get stuff from the shop etc. I think that it is a fantastic idea as it offers greater independence and mobility to a wide range of folks. This is especially the case for many of the "rural poor". Folks may think that this is a world away from their experience, but things like this have a great potential to improve the quality of life for whole sections of the community.
Keep up the good work.
I think electric push bikes are amazing! Rich owned one in the uk for local trips to town etc the problem is here you can’t leave it anywhere or it will be stolen! Therefore your afraid to use it, so it got sold
Keep up the great videos guys and enjoy yourselves
Thanks! Will do!
Can't wait to see where the new adventure takes you!
See you there in the next one
Great video. I can't wait to see you on tour again. You both take care ❤.
Thanks so much, we will see you soon!
I really think you are a great example on how to travel on a budget but i think most of us other vomments attest to this are intrigued about the fact that you now appear to be full time ... and that is fantastic if you are im not asking how much you earn but it would be interesting to.understand if you are full time from you tube or is there some passive income in the background ... either way yours is a great channel and good luck to you for 2025
I guess it’s fair to say we have been full time working on TH-cam since our All in tour. However we still need to work every available hour between tours in order to go for the next trip. TH-cam doesn’t make enough money to cover costs for us yet, it’s an expensive hobby but it’s our passion and love so we choose it over all other things
well done live your dreams keep it going
Thank you ☺️
Happy Riding 😊
Definitely planning a spring trip back to union Road and stay a night or 2 again as it’s a lovely 2.5 trip, and Oct gales weren’t the best choice for our last trip 🤣
Enjoy the sunshine today!
Try to get down to Devon in the summer you will love it here
You didn’t answer the question. Camping, petrol, travel expenses etc all cost money. You don’t seem to work. Sponsors don’t pay for your house etc so how do you do it?
TH-cam can’t pay that much.
Not that it matters that much, we all still watch😁
Well stated. I thought exactly the same.
It would be interesting to know without being intrusive.
TH-cam provides a income but doesn’t cover costs yet for us so between our trips we both work as much as we can and go again, we live frugally in all other aspects of our lives so we can spend our time doing what we love the most
We just prioritise what we love to do, moto travel is all we have, we don’t have money for mortgages or flash cars, more often than not these things are just promises that you will work harder for the bank and a life of debt.
@@ontheroadadventurelets face we all work harder simply to pay the tax man more, happy days !!
Well I guess it is true the more you earn the more tax we must pay, and then when you spend you pay more tax again!
I remember the Super Dream first time around. All us RD250LC riders nick named them Wet Dreams 😂 They were super slow.
You guys are doing really well if you're managing to fund the traveling through TH-cam ad revenue and sponsorship.
Probably just being nosey, but do you chase suppliers/manufacturers for bikes and sponsorship, or do they approach you?
Thanks bud, wet dream machines! 😂
TH-cam doesn’t make us enough to cover costs, you guys know yourself anyone trying to do TH-cam to make money is going to be disappointed unless in the very top few
No motorcycle holiday abroad is cheap. There's a lot of expense involved travelling around Europe but I've no interest in touring the UK. I like staying in Ibis hotels around France. I'll leave the camping to you and continue to enjoy watching your videos. Cheers.
Back in the late 1980s a group of us went to France into Spain then Portugal. We stayed mostly at various YMCAs. Don't know if they still exist, but we ment some very interesting people on our travels 🤘...
We preferred the hotels until we realised we could massively increase the amount we could afford to travel if we were willing to camp, now we have grown to love it
I can't have no more than a couple of weeks away each year due to family and work commitments but I'm happy with that. So many people never get to have a holiday even with their kids.
This is a great attitude, we must all remind ourselves that so many people have it worse than us in all aspects of life
Really looking forward to see what you are doing next guys , don’t really care about how you afford it that’s your business.
Thanks so much bud it’s great to have you along with us
I’m doing the N2 Portugal in June. Watched your series on it. Then about ten days in span after but I can’t camp. I’ve tried a few times on tours, I get no sleep every time, so uncomfortable. I now just accept the extra price of hotels
Thats ok, camping isnt for everyone, we too hated it when we began camping. As long as you find a way that suits you to travel, thats all that matters, we all have different paths, just enjoy the journey
We used to love camping on our bike when we used to do a lot of rallying and touring .. are fav tent believe it or not was a teepee back in the day it was big enough you could stand up in it and loads of room and folded down just the same as a four man tent .we took it all over France /Germany /Spain and Portugal.. happy memories
We have yet to try a teepee tent, I understand they pack small
The Harley Livewire has a range of 98 city miles and has two levels of charging, level1 does take a long time as you say but the Level 3 DC Fast charges takes about 40 minutes.Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman made 3 series about long distance motorbike travel,Long Way Round,Long Way Down and Long Way Up in which they rode Harley Livewires. Not that I'm espousing the virtues of the Livewire but if people are enthusiasts of travel on bike like you they worth watching. I noticed an Insta 360 on Ewa's bike that i hadn't seen before....when will we some video from it?
Didn’t those guys get caught out carrying a generator in a support vehicle for the electric bikes? Or was that a rumour? Yes we have insta 360 but it’s a bit of a novelty camera really, we don’t like how it curves straight lines with the fish eye effect, it’s one we use rarely
@@ontheroadadventure you can lose the fisheye in the editing. It's not easy at first....it took me a while to get used to it but I think it's the only camera you need.Never heats up and always works unlike the GoPro.There are a lot of editing videos around that can be useful.I'm not trying to tell you how to film or make videos but if you think about you never miss anything with a 360
We keep coming back to it and giving it a go but we haven’t given it the time it deserves I suspect
wohoo! Finally 'we' are off on a trip again!! Ride safe guys!
Yes! So excited 😀
You don't have to worry about vehicles going all electric because of climate change.
That's all a con regarding our current methods of producing electricity, as will become clear in the not too distant future, but there will be new forms of energy that will actually produce clean energy for motor vehicle production and use, as well as day to day general needs, and it won't cost a fortune!!
Keep up the good work! 😃👍
It is assumed that if we all went electric tomorrow we would actually have a problem with power availability so it wouldn’t be sustainable anyway!
Hello people, nice to see another vid off you. I recently saw a clip about Itchy-Boots and what she is getting from TH-cam and franchise etc per annum-$820,000. Mind blowing but when you see how many followers she has and the journey she is on, you can understand. I did a 6 week trials bike tour in Cambodia in 2009. Not for the faint hearted as you go off the beaten track and the food is take it or leave it lol. I think you two would love it. Stay safe-Be well.
Was that a genuine figure or just some click bait you tuber stirring shit to build his views?
I’ve no idea if or how accurate that figure is but I do know very few TH-camrs make that sort of money! We don’t cover costs from TH-cam yet, we work between tours and give every penny we have to do what we love
I’ve no idea 🤷
@ I believe he had inside info. If you look at the stats for TH-cam and payment per views, she has one of the biggest followings on her.
Hi Rich & Ewa, I was amazed, when you stopped at that coffee shop, and you mentioned the Honda 400n Super dream, that was my 1st bike,I passed my test on it 1st time, mine was Silver & blue. 42 years ago! Lol. Love watching you both, keep up the good work, thanks again.xx
@@StephenCarter-o9w I'm interested in your post Stephen as I had a 250 superdream and took 2 tests on it (both failed sadly!). But I renember that was the largest capacity machine you could ride on L plates. How did you take your test on your 400? Was it through a riding school?
I lived in Guernsey, the laws are different to here, also I was in my twenties. The 250 was a better bike apparently... thanks for the reply.
@StephenCarter-o9w the reason I asked is when I did eventually take my test again (in 1999), I was able to ride my own CB500 for the test (on L plates) as it was allowed to be followed by an instructor or the test examiner.
I didnt know if that option existed back in the 70's!
@stevedriver1376 I was followed by an examiner in a car, it was not a long test, 10 mins? It cost £2,in 1983.
Thats awesome! Isnt it funny how motorcycles create memories... they become such huge and important parts of our lives
If you shot this last Thursday, then we nearly crossed paths in Crediton...again. I was coming the other way, having failed to get breakfast at Jolly Rogers (closed for winter), so instead I had lunch just a few miles further towards Barnstaple at Copplestone Farm Shop. I then headed to Tiverton and off down the A396 and back to North Somerset. I have my ticket for the classic bike show at Shepton. I go every year. Have a great trip.... looking forward to seeing where you are off to.
Sounds like a nice loop, gotta watch out for the mud on the road right now though. We haven’t tried the coolest one farm shop we will save it as somewhere to go 👍
@@ontheroadadventure I spent a couple of hours washing all the mud'n'stuff off the Beemer the following day.
All part of it mate, I get enjoyment out of trying new products when cleaning, keeps me interested
Don't forget the Scottish Motorcycle Show at Edinburgh mid March. Another great episode thanks.
That’s a long old trek for a show for us, if it was later in the year we would make a trip of it perhaps
@ontheroadadventure Never quite understood why it's held March, we never buy tickets in advance just in case 🌪
No idea but it is nice to have things to do off season i guess
I miss my Honda 250N blue super dream from the 80s😊 I totally 💯 % agree with you both about electric bikes, No way!, it’s bad enough the crap I see & hear all the time about EVs, they cost a fortune to buy & run, I couldn’t imagine going on tour on a electric bike! By the time you get to your destination, it will be time to head back home pathetic😊
Yes and it seems its a constant chore for those who mchhose to do so looking for suitable power sources etc, i Get fuel anxiety as it is! Not for us thanks...
Geddon, another great vlog, Always plenty of common Sense 😍 , looking forward to saying hi at the ABR festival at the end of June 🤞
Thanks, we just want to share things we learn along the way and try to inspire others to travel as we do
Thank you for the tip regarding the hotel in Devon. I have a family wedding in Cornwall in July. All the best with your claim. I am with Bikesure. However, my accident involved an uninsured driver. I have lost £3,000. So I have put behind me and saved for travelling and my own youtube channel.
So important to not focus on negatives and keep moving forward 👍 Enjoy the process
ACSI sites are brilliant we always used them on the continent when we were motorhoming.
We are just learning about this, it seems like a great scheme we will try out 👍
I'm not concerned about your personal finances like thee others, it doesn't matter how you can afford it. Just don't stop producing it! Ride safe!🤙
Thanks so much for your support, we intended to try to encourage and inspire other people to travel more, we want to show it’s not just for the wealthy if you want anything enough in life you can make it happen
Nice to see you guys again but please elaborate on how you can afford to adventure. Doesnt seem like you have daily jobs, rent to/mortgage?
No we don’t have a mortgage, it’s a choice we have made to not pay the bank our lives, I guess we all choose what’s important to us so we have prioritised our travel lifestyle over property or children, drinking or smoking… We do need to work between our trips to fund them, TH-cam helps but doesn’t cover costs

Spread the costs out, ie book a ferry as soon as the date's are released. Another month buy the travel insurance, next time buy your brake down insurance. Pre book some accommodation another time. It helps spread the costs. Last year i went from NE Scotland to Albania and back. Was away 2 and a half weeks. Cost me about £3500 in total, no camping tho!!!
As for time off work, being self-employed helps a lot. I take June off to head abroad on tour. Greig
Good tips there, and we like that is constantly working towards your goal
great vid both
Thanks Allan, hopefully it won’t be as cold in the next vlog! See you there
It’s difficult to enjoy riding in the cold English winter 🥶….unless you have heated grips/ clothing/ seats!
Absolutely it’s essential kit this time of year
Probably Air B & B their place when out of the country or away weekends. Anyways i think they are one of the most genuine TH-camrs out there. Look forwards to when they finally get round to green lanes/off road. Be good fun
We wish we could do that! Sadly we rent but if we could get away with it we would!! Thanks so much for your support, we live frugally on everything else that we can so as to afford to travel and do what we love, we don’t have enough money to concern ourselves with mortgages or flash cars, it’s not what our hearts desire, people make the things they really want happen… this is why we try to inspire others to travel, what we do is not special anyone can do this
42nd of Jan 😂😂😂😂😂 it’s been a long n 😂😂👍👍Ride Safe 👍
January never ends!
My first ‘proper’ bike (MZ doesn’t count 😂) was a CB400 Super Dream that I bought new in 1981. Loved that bike and at the time it seemed huge. Seeing that red 250 in the car park brought back memories! I agree entirely that electric motorcycles can never catch on or be practical as long as battery technology is as it is. Cars can be given absolutely enormous batteries, many of which batteries weigh as much as a car of old in its entirety. Bikes can’t be adapted to take this volume of battery.
Even if electric bikes were plausible I’m not sure the national grid in the uk could cope with everyone charging their vehicles at home let alone have provisions at services etc
@ That’s going to be the problem when everyone has electric cars. I can’t help but feel that we’ve exploited a type of energy that has been perfect (environmental issues aside) for providing us with access to personal transport whenever we want it. There are no replacements that quite match what we’ve become used to.
Someone somewhere will find a solution I’m sure
In my experience... it doesn't really matter. I was with Carole Nash and they had no concept about insurance or bikes. I ended up getting the federation of insurers involved after they tried to shark me for 2 excess payments. Had another bike insured with Aegean, they are a general insurer but were fantastic. Simple easy claim and they quickly increased the payout when I showed them some Ebay adverts. Pleased you got sponsorship but doesn't mean the sun shines out of their bums 😁
Oh for sure, good and bad experiences everywhere, but having a motorcycle specific insurer makes sense to us, we have been guilty of taking the cheapest quote which this time has proven to be the wrong by thing to do
@@ontheroadadventure My advice is always go to someone your trust...or someone with a very long warranty on work done. It's easier to take BMW to court than Bob's garage :)
To be fair, the S2 del Mar charges to 80% in 1.25 hours. (still too slow for many uses) - the time you have is for the domestic plug overnight charge (which is fine if its for commuting). The livewire One has DC rapid charging (but is still a bike you need to want, rather than an easy choice)
Yeah each tool has its job but this one does not fit our needs, good for a local commuter perhaps but lots of pennies
250 superdream.....neither super nor a dream....but better than cycling, walking, or roller skating in the early 80s...like my first bike CZ250 with the odd kickstart gearchange....still got the scars🏍️💨💨💨💨🍻👍
And yet we would all of killed for one when we were 17!
February is a short month then it's spring.
At least it dries up quicker.
Good luck with your travels.
Electric transition was over in 2023,always surprised to meet people who didn't hear about it.

I changed to Bikesure in June 2024 and paid £230 to insure 3 bikes. In June 2023 I paid £300 to insure 2 bikes with another company. That company charged me £103 for a mid term bike change. In December 24 I did another bike change and it cost £25 admin fee with Bikesure. Great company. I had a new CB400N in 1982 for riding to work and kept it for 26 years, great bike.
We all accept there has to be costs, but theres no worse feeling than knowing you are having your pants pulled down!
I’m super impressed with your MSR tent as you can stand up inside, but do you think it’s possible for someone on their own to put it up. Curious where you’re going next. Ride safe
Yes you definitely can, the biggest challenge is throwing the top layer over the frame once up but it’s no real problem to do on your own
@@ontheroadadventure super thanks for that.
There’s another one from MSR that’s the same foot print but less height called elixr 4
250N ... first bike I ever rode. Llangorse to Cardiff, no helmet, T shirt. Different times. Wouldn't dream (pun) of it now
It’s memories like these that bikes give us to last a life time
the live wire is ideal for doing a tour of the isle wight only 🤣
Love it....if I had one, I would plan an adventure around the garden a few times 😂😂😂 maybe up the drive as well...oh the adventure!!!
😂😂😂
This made us 😂
I like Moto camping but hate the fact I have to do it on my own.
Go to places like bikers campsite in wales for example and you’ll never be camping alone 👍
However they do it and as long as they continue their present format I’m happy to bung them a quid every so often and buy a T shirt, I do remember Rich ( I think it was him) mentioned having worked two jobs over the winter months to help with the cost of their adventure Ewa May also have worked two jobs.
Thanks Norrie, Yes this is right before and between tours we work so much to build a pot to go again, TH-cam does not make enough money to cover costs, we don’t do it for money, we do it because we live to do it, we love it and can’t get enough! We hope we can inspire people to take trips and make it happen too
I know a guy who spends crazy sums of money on bikes and has seemingly unlimited free time. He dismissed my questions with vague and unconvincing answers til his own son spilt ths beans. He's on the sick!
Yeah that's Britain for you
Surely benefits can’t be enough to cover that sort of lifestyle? It’s far too soft in the uk, people should have incentive to work hard for what they want.
Being self employed is the key to having your own time. They say if you are not busy working hard on your own dream, someone else will employ you to build theirs
There are many examples of professional casual relief jobs that can be worked, then time taken off whenever, one wishes. These type of jobs usually pay well too. As an example a fully qualified nurse/midwife. Relief childrens teacher and many more. My youngest daughter often does a casual nurse night shift at a nearby hospital to supplement her normal part time work as a medical practice nurse, she has 2 young kids so this system works well.
That’s the way to go. It’s important to have flexibility to have control of your own time and lifestyle
Hello
I have tubed tyers, always worry about going on long tours, how to you sort this issue.
Here is what I’m carrying for that… th-cam.com/video/pDTGAg1tJbE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VXrbqv0F_ius7TTN
Ya I have saved so much on service on CB500x by doing it myself. Dont get me wrong, I still going to take bike to garage for stuff like Valve check. (Have no time/space for that.) Plus I just got the garage to do a brake fluid change on my CB500x. As cant trust myself to do that myself. But I can do brake pads change.
Due to change coolant soon. Most likely will attempt this myself.
Well done bud, over the years you’ll save a fortune and be more knowledgeable for it too
Regarding Eva's Spanish bike accident. I had a bad accident in France where I was hospitalised and my bike was written off. Long story short it took months with my insurers, and got nowhere.. I was advised to speak to White Dalton Motorcycle Solicitors.. All their staff are bikers, so understand you. They were absolutely brilliant, and won the case for me.. Give them a try..
Thanks we may need to look them up, it’s been a long process we have just about given up on
@ontheroadadventure I felt like that.. Seriously they are definitely worth talking to..
Thank you
I remember Missenden Flyer last year giving a rundown on how much he earned through TH-cam and it wasn’t a fortune and he has around 10 times the number of subscribers. But clearly you’ve found it’s enough to be able to give up your jobs provided you economise as much as you possibly can.
Also TMF runs around 10+ bikes, a Range Rover, a decent house etc ……and a wife !
@ Indeed, though I think it’s just 5 bikes! I’m guessing he’d saved plenty from his previous job because he reckons that paid better than TH-cam after all his expenses and time were taken into account.
@geofftoscano6804 And he is into flying which can't be a cheap hobby.
Why the interest in other people's money?
@ On that basis why do we have any interest in anything? Why do we look at the price of a bike when buying it?
Per the title, I always wondered the same regarding Freddie Dobbs...🤔...I'm with Bikesure for a couple of my Bikes, also Carole Nash/Adrian Flux for others.
Marc Travels is a chronicle of 'a descent into severe psychological dysfunction'(I've watched from the start) same (but different) goes for 'Itchy boots 'n' a couple of others (fellow Pole, 'on her Bike')...it's like professional athletes, a relatively limited 'time span' and then 'normal' life beckons, you need plan 'B'.
Somebody who did it (doing it well) is 'Nathan the Postman' & he did have his problems...😏
Hopefully full time motorcycle travel will become our normal life, it’s what we love to do, but of course it’s not easy to maintain
Hi,you’re not explaining how you afford to do what you do when I’m guessing that you don’t work and you’ve still got a house to run along with all the running costs that go with it,I’m thinking that nobody just gives you a wad of money,
Or they do like me. Rent out the house and live cheaper in most other countries?
I'm thinking, that Rich &Ewa,being self-employed, can support their expenses,by producing a very popular TH-cam channel, which is consistently good enough, for TH-cam to pay them, also, there are adverts in between, videos, plus sponsorship, plus they review countless, bike related items. This probably sounds obvious, but that's how,Rich & Ewa manage to do what they love, it's a job,we'd all love to do,but it takes experience, and dedication, to produce something we all enjoy watching, and can't wait for the next one😊.thanks Rich & Ewa,keep up the great work.
Thanks so much, you are right in the most part, except currently youtube does not cover our costs so when ever we are not touring we are working as many hours as we can as fast as we can to make it possible to go again
What is it that you both do tho?
Totally agree.. hard work snd dedication... reep their rewards@@StephenCarter-o9w
Are you both working. I can’t think of one employer allowing so much time off 😂
That’s why we have to be self employed, we are both terrible employees 😂
Rich,I own a triumph tiger 800 which is due service. The main triumph agent are asking nearly £300 for service and mot, plus an extra £400+for I think they recommended valve service, any advice?
Well this depends on your own mechanical knowledge, do what you are confident in doing yourself, air filter, oil and filter etc and perhaps pay them to do valves only to reduce costs… the best investment you can make is doing a course and learning all you can it will save you a fortune in the long run
I just invented a motorbike with a sail....I call it "not quite as crap as electric" I think Millibango would love it...😂😂😂😂now I wait for all the HS2 money to come my way so I can build it to help the north join the south for some reason.
lol at least no range issue with wind power in the uk 😂😂
Do you have 2 speedometers on your bike ?
Yes theres two displays, the top one can be used for apple carplay etc
Great vlog guys,,,
👍👍
Thanks bud, see you in the next one
Ill stick to my vfr, they can keep electric bikes. Even if they did 200miles and took 20 mins to charge. Hopefully hydrogen will come through or the carbon neutral petrol alternative gains momentum. Cracking vid as ever.
I have to say I’ve ridden some electric bikes and the performance is impressive but it ain’t a motorcycle!
Check out the bikers guide for great camping weekends
Thanks we will look for it now
I also don’t care how you financially fund your trips good luck to you both👍 we go at least twice a year and love it only wish we could go more! Life is not a rehearsal spend your cash building memories cause when your dead your dead. Born with nothing die in dept you’ve made a profit 😜
Haha we like your style! But it’s so true, No good being the richest bloke in the grave yard!
🤣definitely no chance I’ll be the richest man in the graveyard 🥴 I’m 62 now ridden bikes since I was 17 couldn’t possibly count the amount of bikes I’ve owned never mind the cost. I even managed to race for a few years now then that’s when the money disappears 🤣👍. Looking forward to your next adventure ⛺️🏍️🏍️
They say, get your children into motorcycles and they will never have money for drugs!
@@ontheroadadventure 🤣🤣👍
Motorcycle insurance in this country ie bennets isn't much better they use 4th dimension which took 7 months to repair mine a 2 day job at most with long tea breaks said they had changed parts that obviously hadn't been. Bike was only 6 months old. Hire bike costs 35k.
Wow that’s not good at all.
42nd of January?
Yeah half way through January… the month that never ends in uk 😂
You guys could be politicians swerving the answer to your own question like that ;) Meanwhile, I have 4 big bikes and the one I use 90% of the time is electric (second-hand, cheap as chips). Of course the charging is slow at the moment, but the reality is, you come home, plug it in and wake up in the morning and hit 100 mph in about 8 seconds, in silence with a stone cold motor. 1p/mile. Bliss. Proof is in the pudding; the other bikes are just collecting dust until I need to go to Wales or something, then I drag one of them out and warm it up for 5 minutes, before going to a petrol station with my wallet primed. Horses for courses.
Ah see this comes back to having the right tool for the job… a electric bike is useless to us for what we do, but if commuting to work 10 miles away in a city was the requirement then I can see how the little electric bike would be great
Why are the license plates for motorcycles so huge in the UK?
The law and british standard regulations. Failure to comply could end up in a fine and it should fail it's annual safety check with a none conforming number plate.
@@Jimb0b1111 Too bad, it looks ridiculous!
Most bike no. plates I see in the UK are not that big. (l get away with 20cm x 15cm.) Do away with the dealers name on them helps. The idea is to be able to read the registration number.😂
There’s a legal size… Ugly isn’t it
Some go to 7x5 inch plate but it’s a good excuse for the police to have to pull you over
Hiya, any chance of an answer, we would love to know just how you can afford all your travels, if you dont want to say thats fine, just let us know. We will still watch you regardless.
We have nothing else in short. No kids, no drinking no smoking, no mortgage, we live as cheap as we can in order to make what we love happen
@@ontheroadadventure Good for you , Thanks guys. Keep up the good work
Cheers 👍👍
The problem with Devon, like the rest of the west country is tourists. Fine at this time of year though.
100% agree I’ve lived in the South Hams in Devon all my life the tourist traffic and the general population has grown to such a level motorcycle ride isn’t fun here anymore so will be moving away or spending a lot more time in Europe now.
@brianrundle9219 I'm in Lincolnshire Brian and the roads dont change that much in summer.
Maybe the Lincoln to Skegness road but otherwise pretty good.
Having said that, I'm intending to relocate to Almeria later this year as the roads are incredible (as is the weather of course!).
@@stevedriver1376 Well done you! I won’t be far behind you 👍
We are all jealous of that plan!
We love to explore Devon on a dry winters day, it’s quiet roads and places are still open
You want to be very careful with showing your speed on them videos because when you are doing more than the speed limit you are hoping yourself up to speeding there as being many people done for speeding doing the same 😮
Thanks 👍
I think the silence on how they can afford to run 2 bikes and a house as well as spending a lot of time abroad speaks volumes…….not that it’s any bodies business though
The key is to live frugally in all other aspects of our lives so we can prioritise what makes us happy
Lets face it getting yourselfs off this island (rip off island) got to be a good thing
Its sad to see that the general feeling in the uk right now is not good, we see it all the time in the comments
So, how do you afford it?
TH-cam provides a income but doesn’t cover costs yet for us so between our trips we both work as much as we can and go again, we live frugally in all other aspects of our lives so we can spend our time doing what we love the most
@ontheroadadventure ok, thanks for your reply. I guessed you were probably temping or contracting.
There's a number of TH-cam channels by people who retired early and live frugally.
Perhaps there's a video or two for you in that...
Yes, van life is very popular for this, people are realising that time back for yourself has more value than money in the end
Try lexham insurance guys, for me there cheap
Are they motorcycle specific?
you 2 need to kit review the oxford Hot seat to keep your bum,s warm in the cold 👍
We would love to do that just for the warm butt!
Don’t bother with excel London show, has gone downhill over the last couple of years. Didn’t bother last year as manufacturers not displaying many of their models, some don’t even attend & the market place is full of a lot of old tat with not very good bargains. There are some very good well known accessories stalls & well known clothing outlets to check out but in general doesn’t take long to see around the halls.
Not good reviews here for the London show, a shame really considering it’s our capitals show
@@ontheroadadventureUsed to be a good show when it was at Ally Pally. Went last year to look at a Tuareg. Aprilia didn’t even bother to have a stand. I’ll go, but more out of habit, as it’s only a few short trains rides for me.
Fair enough, no good staying home 👍
Read the book? Pretty sure you wrote the book on click bait
Sorry you feel that way
Hey guys, how do you clean your nipples and spokes on your wheels, an easy way please, I've tried a shoe lace and alloy polish but there must be an easy way.
Prevention is better than cure, I ceramic coat our bikes always first job so that helps but yes there’s no easy option really just time and patience
42nd January 😂😂. CLASS .
The month that never ends!
Don't bother going to the London bike shore it is a load of rubbish not that great you're far better going to Birmingham in November I went to London a few years ago I'm sorry to be in a capital city the bike show was really small
We heard it’s not as good as the NEC show, our main concern is leaving bikes unattended in London
I've ridden electric bikes and they're fun and everything but they are no replacement. A world without gas bikes is not a world I'd want to live in that's for sure.
I have to agree, the performance of them is amazing, but i still dont want to own one
