Part 1: An Orthodox Response to Dr. Gavin Ortlund's New Book w/ Luther Menard

Here’s my perspective as a former Protestant and now orthodox catechumen.
99% of those attending Protestant churches on a weekly basis have zero knowledge of the church of the first millennium. When they do start looking into they really only have three options: EO, OO, or RC.
For example I never heard Athansius mentioned a single time growing up at a Baptist church but heard Charles spurgeon almost weekly. Reading into the first millennium basically outed the fact the church I attended was not the same church athanasius attended as an example.
I reached a point where to remain Protestant was basically admitting that no one knew the truth and we were all doing the best we can. When marinating on that it almost led to a logical conclusion of atheism because if the truth cannot be known then there really is not truth.
That didnt sit well with me and when I began thinking there has to be a true church it led me to Orthodoxy.
Side note I landed on what use is the Bible if there is no infallible interpreter.
