I know everyone compares Axel to Drago from Rocky and I see it, but at he reminded me of a young Mike Barnes at least physically. He seems like a standard gentle giant. At least when he's not fighting.

Drago/Axel plays defense for a couple minutes and then the trainer gives Drago/Axel the go ahead to start actually fighting and it’s just nonstop fighting which eventually lead to Apollo’s death. I thought Robby was about to die.

When you're bigger, stronger and have better defense than anyone, you don't have to do the fancy kicks like Kwon does. In a real fight, no one defeats Axel. The writers will likely morph him in pt 3.
