That’s dope, Tobias is the man. Jerry Cantrell of AIC has done similar, he said when he’d think of a riff but was busy he’d just pull out his phone and record himself doing the melody and then go back to what he was doing and then play the recording back to himself when he was writing music. That’s how he created the killer riff to their song “stone”

As a musician myself Ghost is one of the most fun bands to play and sing. Their music is absolutely beautiful, from their slow jams to their harder stuff. And the music videos are full of lore and flair. They are the best rock band in the world right now. I will be seeing them for the 3rd time next month and I can't wait

If you end up doing "He Is" just know that the later part of the song was inspired by Tobias' big brother who he lost right as Ghost was blowing up. He has said it was like some horrible deal. He became famous but lost his brother, the person who inspired a lot of his love for music.

I don't know many of their songs, but I have seen them LIVE, at VOODOO FEST, when TOOL headlined, and the only song I remember was SQUARE HAMMER, and they put on a GREAT CONCERT/ SHOW, I was impressed

I really love the suburban meralhead couple throughout the video. They weren't caught by the madness, they just accepted the song and enjoyed it instead of tried to fight it.
This song means a lot to the fans, for the reasons that you picked out so observantly (sense of alienation, otherness that 'he' can resolve)! The middle section, where he reaches out to the girl, is replicated live, when he chooses someone from the audience then and sings to them. He used to be able to hold their hand as in the video, but no longer (stages are too large!). This is called being 'Ciriced'. As for further suggestions, the beautiful but heavily ironic *He Is,* as suggested, the extremely catchy *Square Hammer,* *Call Me Little Sunshine,* *Spillways,* *Griftwood* (no official video for that but you can get it in YT... And a much overlooked but very catchy song, *Witch Image,* which actually has a video made by fans. So many! For the evil and satanic, *Year Zero,* especially live versions. Also the bitter *Faith* (it's about the legal events of 2016) from a Pale Tour Named Death - a studio version set to live footage, but very effective. For the pure ballad, see the moving *Life Eternal,* which has been used at both weddings _and_ funerals..! The video set to fan footage in Mexico (Palacio de los Deportes) is wonderful, when Copia is promoted at the end to Papa IV, following a heartfelt filmed tribute to the fans going to the gig, which was actually the last before Covid shutdown.

In the song it means she is his temple of worship, but you have to ask yourself... exactly WHO is being worshiped within her? 😈😈 but it is really more about seeing people for who they are and accepting them as they are, born of natural sin and everything. Nothing to confess or repent for. Also, I really enjoyed dancing Aileen. 😁 My favorite Ghost video is Dance Macabre.

I didn’t know what to think of these guys for a while, it was confusing to me lol. They’ve grown on me a lot. You can’t say any other band is like them. I love the sense of humor, tongue in cheek vibe they have, yet still create some really powerful music. Not like any kind of metal I’ve ever heard, if you can call it that. I still don’t know how to classify them.
I love Ghost they're my 7th favorite band but were Top 5 for a long time, I found them when the song Secular Haze came out and I was hooked, I love Cirice such a great song and it's definitely got many meanings could be a song where he sees you for who you are, or with the Satanic parody they've got going on you could say the song is Lucifer saying he sees you and no one knows you like he does there's a lot of ways to look at it for sure
The _Grammy Award Winning_ "Cirice"! 😎 Not sure how much time you have to read comments, but what's interesting lyrically in this song is that he (Papa Emirutus III/Tobias Forge) is trying to draw the girl away from the rigorous standards & judgments of _God_ and toward the compassionate, understanding arms of the Devil. Which fits with the modern Satanist view of things: that Lucifer and his angels rebelled against God with cause, and are actually fighting for humankind's freedom (I'm not one, I just like studying religions). In that vein, the vast majority of the audience were good, God-fearing people conforming to Christian ideals, whereas the girl & the couple were outsiders who didn't fit in with the others' norms/saw through the duplicity of them. On the off chance nobody has mentioned this already, Tobias allegedly received a text while out one night informing him that "Cirice" had been nominated for a Grammy Award. He thought it was an unfortunate typo/autocorrect & assumed the sender meant the Grammis Awards, which are given out annually to Swedish artists--still an honor, but not _that_ big of a deal. To say the least, he was shocked when he found out "Grammy" was correct (let alone when they actually won it). 😄

I didn’t know what to think of these guys for a while, it was confusing to me lol. They’ve grown on me a lot. You can’t say any other band is like them. I love the sense of humor, tongue in cheek vibe they have, yet still create some really powerful music. Not like any kind of metal I’ve ever heard, if you can call it that. I still don’t know how to classify them.
Honestly sometimes I think they go out of their way to not be pigeon holed into a Category, and Satan bless them for it.

I love Ghost they're my 7th favorite band but were Top 5 for a long time, I found them when the song Secular Haze came out and I was hooked, I love Cirice such a great song and it's definitely got many meanings could be a song where he sees you for who you are, or with the Satanic parody they've got going on you could say the song is Lucifer saying he sees you and no one knows you like he does there's a lot of ways to look at it for sure

Not sure how much time you have to read comments, but what's interesting lyrically in this song is that he (Papa Emirutus III/Tobias Forge) is trying to draw the girl away from the rigorous standards & judgments of _God_ and toward the compassionate, understanding arms of the Devil. Which fits with the modern Satanist view of things: that Lucifer and his angels rebelled against God with cause, and are actually fighting for humankind's freedom (I'm not one, I just like studying religions). In that vein, the vast majority of the audience were good, God-fearing people conforming to Christian ideals, whereas the girl & the couple were outsiders who didn't fit in with the others' norms/saw through the duplicity of them.
On the off chance nobody has mentioned this already, Tobias allegedly received a text while out one night informing him that "Cirice" had been nominated for a Grammy Award. He thought it was an unfortunate typo/autocorrect & assumed the sender meant the Grammis Awards, which are given out annually to Swedish artists--still an honor, but not _that_ big of a deal. To say the least, he was shocked when he found out "Grammy" was correct (let alone when they actually won it). 😄
