The 3 pros I was always aware that drew their own graphics: Blender, Miller, Lucero. John Lucero deserves BIG TIME REC as a graphics artist & skateboard designer. Lotsa love. Total respect. JRC (WELCOME) is on the short list as well, in my book.
He is one knarly pool skater..he can still enter a contest with youngins and rip on their level...his front bluntside is so knarly. As far as Im concerned he ripped the combi the hardest. RESPECT!

1987: I was a stupid kid. So dumb.
I go to a 'meet the skaters' for the 'air walk demo' at Karma records. It was Jeff Phillips and Chris Miller. Me and my fried were the only two that showed up.
I asked Chris for an autograph, so he drew a duck, with little ducks following it. If I remember correctly Jeff was extremely uninterested in the situation but watching them rip that night was magic.
