As a new nurse one month off orientation on a crazy med surg post surgical floor. I'm going to try this. Still getting the hang of balancing everything . Thanks for this. Keep you posted.
Your brain sheet is INCREDIBLY helpful. I work in medsurg so I usually get 6 pts. I shrunk your brain sheet so that I could fit 4 "brains" in 1 page. I then print 2 pages and staple them back to back (or just print it out double-sided) that way I have 8 mini "brains" for my shift👍🏾 Thanks again for this video 😊
Hi Tricia, Is the Brain Sheet still available? The link is not opening up to the brain sheet. It opens me up to some other link. The brain sheet looks like an invaluable source.:) if you can share it again, i would greatly appreciate it.
Hi! I really enjoyed your video. I’ve been a nurse for two years but will start a job in the SICU next week and I’m pretty nervous! Can you possibly do a video explaining what a day looks like in the sicu? :)
Hi Julie! Thanks for watching! I did an Day in the life of working night shift recently! While they’re not quite the same they do have a lot of similarities! I hope to do another one of those in the future!
I don’t think I had one specific strategy! I think they were different for each class. Some were w friends and other times I’d have to study alone bc it was too distracting. let me think about it and I’ll make a video if I have a few 😬
Wow this was really helpful thank for sharing !! 🤩 how long does it take you to fill in your brain sheet? Do you fill everything in at the start of your shift or do you add things as you go through your shift ?
You’re welcome! I usually fill it out when I get report from the off going nurse! Then after report if my patient is stable I’ll go outside and look at notes or anything I forgot to ask the off going nurse. I do fill in stuff as I go! (Things like checking off tasks, writing in the doctors read of the imaging from CT/MRI, any orders that I need to ask the resident for, and any acute changes)
I am a new telemtry nurse struggling to give report. Do you have an updated version to share? I checked your instagram and couldnt find a link. Thank you in advance
Do you have an updated link? Ik it’s two years later lol but I’m just starting as a new grad nurse and found this video

Some of your sheets are folded vertically, do you have a vertical folding clipboard? Trying to decide if horizontal or vertical is better. Thanks!
I will download this BRAIN. Thank you!
Great video! I would love to hear how you studied during nursing school.

Student Nurse here. What do the numbers on the last sheet mean? (e.g., 8/20, 9/21...)
it represents military time for day shift and night shift. day/night....so 1500 (3:00 pm)/0300 (3:00 am) or 15/03 on the sheet
Good tip thank you! But I don’t like the background music I wish it is not there.
Thanks for this topic. I am new to ICU, I am nervous. I just downloaded your brain sheet.
Where are the forms?
I want your nurse brain worksheet with recommended questions to ask! Link below doesn't work.
Where is the brain sheet ?
Wish we had a good word for "nurse brain" in swedish. "Sjuksköterskehjärna" doesn't fit the same.
I clicked all of the links to access your “Brain” and all I am getting is wedding stuff…HELP
She got the psycho 😁
So there is probably no way of making a million dollars off of your unique nurse brain. It's available to everyone :-(
