The main translator of Yakuza games to English is god tier. In fact, he told them to do a change in Yakuza 7 interface that is really god tier, for english version of the game.
Just FYI: Limited Run Games is releasing a Collector's Edition physical box set of all Yakuza games (Zero, Kiwami 1 and 2, and Yakuza's 3-6) in spring of 2025 with a bunch of extras like soundtracks, character cards, and a Kiryu miniature figure.
I’m not sure that’s entirely accurate. It seems they’re releasing Collector’s Editions of each individual game starting with ‘Zero’ and ‘Kiwami’ and if you preorder ‘Zero’ you get a special slipcase to hold all 7 Collector’s Editions as they are released. Not saying you’re wrong, but I couldn’t find anything about a planned release of a single box set containing all the games together on the Limited Run Games website.

It's funny because the serie in Japan is not named Yakuza but simply Like a Dragon. I won't spoil you the reason but keep that in mind for later. As for the substories, it's absolutely okay if you're not doing all of them ! They're more here to help you take a break from the main story if it's getting too heavier. And so far, you're actually doing good ! It's nice to see you explaining the culture and mostly, it's nice to see you learn how to master the gameplay. I know you'll be good at it, i trust you ! Only advice i can give you is to buy more Stamina Royale at the drugstore. They're actually really cheap with the amount of money you're gaining and they're also helping you to regain a lot of health and heat gauge. Some side content will help you generally, but I don't think any of it is missable, I think that until the very end you always have the option to do it later, so you're not missing out on anything if you want to focus on the main story for now.
If you're ever stuck on what to do next for the main quest btw you can just let Kiryu stand still and idle around for a bit - he'll sometimes start smoking but often times he'll start thinking to himself :D
It seems that the voice of Oda from Tachibana Real Estate is a voice actor that Jahara knows. If you watch the anime in Japanese, you may indeed hear someone with the same voice. There are also cases where the same voice actor plays different characters in the Yakuza series, but I won't tell you who it is to avoid spoilers. Please keep playing and find out!
