perfect game in every aspect, no issues, balanced by a team of people who had a clear love of video games and designing something that will be remembered as "timeless." the greatest answer to quake and the endpoint of arena shooters.
I'm playing this game now till i die, including UT 2007 as well, but UT 2004 was the best for me still. Sad that I don't see any more games with this quality and dedication in this specific style.
Ut 4 could of been great but epic shut down the servers although we can play on master servers thank God. But fr screw that company they killed off one of the greatest franchises of all time I could never forgive them
I still boot up ut2004 every now and then to hop in an invasion modded server or deathmatch with the few people that still are left. Kinda just makes me sad about the communities I was in most of the time though.
this game was the best made multiplayer FPS ever created. Huge posiblities. So many fan made maps, so many mods, so much range. You could go for deathmatch, you could go for CTF, you could go for VCTF, you co go for Onslought, for assault, for racing, for RPG invasion, for building... Truly the best game ever made.. I will come back in some form, I believe
All these years later and I'd still rather boot this up again than plunk down $60-70 bucks for another reheated Call of Duty title that's slathered in DLC locked content, lootboxes, and toxic voice chat.
I too miss the times when a game (especially multiplayer) would come out as a single, whole package with no strings attached, other than maybe getting an expansion pack during it's life cycle. Oh and who can forget the modding scene? Good times... I'm grateful to have been there!
