Congrats Chris. Bring back lots of memories. I used to own a face-lifted Savvy and I'm sure your muffler is not stock. the stock ones are quiet just like any other stock muffler. Savvy is a good car actually. Feel solid. The drive train are the main problem. The manual was stiff. If the owner like renault characteristic, they will like it. Always use genuine elf renault transmission oil.
@@ChrisWeevilGarage And..if you gotta change the dampers; they came with deCarbon shocks. Get that even tho mahal and not some localized brand. You will lose the ride and handling if you opt for sumtink else. For info's sake, deCarbon invented the monotube gasdruck dampers and well..made famous by Bilstein.

Try to change the gear selector below the gearbox because it has bush on the gear selector and by the time its broke thats why it is hard to get in gears...the tyre noise is caused by the bearing worn out

Hey chris, can u make a tutorial on how to measure and purchase a steering wheel cover for these cars. Always wanted to get one for mine but have always been scared to purchase a wrong size cover. Great little Savvy btw!
U need to measure your steering wheel across the 9 and 3 o'clock positions to determine if it's S, M or L, the guide should be on the casing of the cover. Best if u have your car nearby to fit it on the spot to check 🙏🏽👍🏾😊
Nice to see the Savvy coming along nicely 👍🏼. Your exhaust defo got lubang 😅. Outta the factory it is more raspy, turns whiney at higher rpms. Is common issue for them to rust
Hi bro, actually no, cos if the gearbox breaks, it costs more than the value of the car to fix/replace, sorry. Try and find a manual variant like mine 😊👍🏾
Drive a little longer, you will find how fun "slow car fast" it was and never wanna sell it anymore. I sold mine few years ago, and I had to buy another back later. LOL
I own a savvy and that hard & high clutch is definitely not normal. What i can suggest is change the clutch cable, costs around rm50. If your savvy is a few years old there is a chance that the internal lubrication of the clutch cable has dried up. Once you change it its gonna be smooth as butter. also consider changing the clutch plate too if your car is more than 120k km, renault ori ones goes for rm400 something. but valeo is about rm260+. and i think no different for both.
Hi Chris..just a little bit curious..i wonder how about the maintenence of the savvy regarding the spare parts and the cost of repairing it? thanks bro
loved the sound of the engine growl. Btw, the number plate 'P' and 'J' looks too close together, would that create troubles with JPJ? all in all, nice nice car to drive!
Hi, Chris, could it be the gear clutch pad is slowly worning off & makes the gear changing harder to engage or could be it be also the gear knob shaft bushing problem like you mentioned in the video. Just my 2 cents opinion.
This was the first car they've done that for, not sure if it's gonna be offered in future, best to call and ask bud, cos u have to leave the car there for at least 2-3 days, so it's a space issue 😊

Why is the signal stalk can't automatically return back to its position after turning the steering.. and it feels different to use a left hand to switch the signal stalk and operate the gear at the same time🤭🤣 it takes time to get use of it.. cheers..
Used to it cos I also have a Waja remember?😉
@@ChrisWeevilGarage oh ya now I remember.. 😊 I'm so glad that the p/window still work after all these years since savvy has launched.. My proton saga power window switch has stop working after 15 years and I did replaced with a Taiwan non original parts but it works.. the saga of the savvy CONTINUE....I must say✌️
a ferrari would be too pretentious for such a down to earth man like mr wee
Aww, thanks bud, appreciate that 🙏🏽👍🏾😊🤗
Rockin savvy, I like the exhaust sound! Similarly to WRX or EVO sound hehe 🤣 very nice and what next straight to the body wrap shop👌
Thanks!! Love the growl it makes too! Next will be legalizing the car again to put it back on the road #legit 😁
Already figured that out before even getting back to Kenzone, lol!! Panjang Ekzos here I come, hahahaha!!😁
Quite a loud whine / roar as you pick up speed.. is that coming from the tyres..? Or bearing..? Otherwise, congrats on successful resurrection..
It was the wheel bearing, already put a new in, thanks!!👍🏾🙏🏽😊
MMT is far way better than AMT 😂😂👍
Agreed!!😄😄😄
Agreed 200%
Hi Abang Chris, for Savvy AMT is recomended to take? Hope you can advise
Hi bro, actually no, cos if the gearbox breaks, it costs more than the value of the car to fix/replace, sorry. Try and find a manual variant like mine 😊👍🏾
@@ChrisWeevilGarage 🙏 Thank you for your advise bang. I am about to buy AMt for daily use. Any recommended small car easy to do maintenance?
@@saodiksahul3329 yes, get a Satria or Wira; cheap to run, cheap to maintain, good fuel consumption, easy to fix if anything goes wrong 😊
Maybe it's the mic placement but am i hearing a bit of an exhaust leak?
Possibly, it's a bit too boomy right now 😁
Drive a little longer, you will find how fun "slow car fast" it was and never wanna sell it anymore. I sold mine few years ago, and I had to buy another back later. LOL
Hahahaha!! Yes, I'm sure it's gonna be awesome, thanks man 🙏🏽👍🏾😊
R u planning to sell?
Maybe, I haven't decided 😉
my savvy have high and hardd clutch is that normal for a stock savvy?? or should i go to any car workshop to change my clutch?
Maybe that's a characteristic of the car, cos mine is like that too, haha!! U can bring it to Kenzone to be checked out 👍🏾🙏🏽😊
I own a savvy and that hard & high clutch is definitely not normal.
@@hazobi thank you for the feedback bud!! 🙏🏽👍🏾😀
Idk why that I stressed up seeing u being not used to the gear lever... 🤣
Lol!! Just takes some getting used to bud, haha!!🤭🙏🏽👍🏾
Hi Chris..just a little bit curious..i wonder how about the maintenence of the savvy regarding the spare parts and the cost of repairing it? thanks bro
Watch till the very end of the video bud, it wasn't as bad as I expected except for maybe the ECU repair 😊
loved the sound of the engine growl. Btw, the number plate 'P' and 'J' looks too close together, would that create troubles with JPJ?
all in all, nice nice car to drive!
Me too, love that engine note! I think the plate shld be ok, hopefully, seen it like that many times 🤞🏾🙏🏽😉
Hi, Chris, could it be the gear clutch pad is slowly worning off & makes the gear changing harder to engage or could be it be also the gear knob shaft bushing problem like you mentioned in the video. Just my 2 cents opinion.
Clutch plate u mean? Nah, it's still good. Likely the gear bushing has hardened, thanks for the feedback bud 👍🏾😊🤭
Sir Chris may I ask roughly cost you how much for restored this car?
The details are at the very end of the video bud 😉
Appreciate sir 😊
I thought you planning to race with Ferari
Hahaha!! Yep, the deception worked, lol!!😝🤭
but you would need a myvi for that..
@@Glee73 #iseewhatyoudidthere 🤣🤣🤣🤣 good one 🤭🙏🏽👍🏾
I was like 🤔since when you bought a ferrari 😂
Nice deception eh? Hahaha!!😁😁😁
Restoring cars, now a Ferrari appears, I’m waiting for the next episode...it’s gonna be Instagram model right? Right? Pls, be right.
🤣
Lol!! Of course! Must. But let me get her legalised first 🤭🙏🏽👍🏾
Kenzone do interior cleaning? My Savvy sure needs it.
This was the first car they've done that for, not sure if it's gonna be offered in future, best to call and ask bud, cos u have to leave the car there for at least 2-3 days, so it's a space issue 😊
What engine you put it?
Stock engine, just the cover got decorated a bit 😁
How many cars do you currently have?
Not many, only 8. 😊
Renault Clio😜
No, it's a Pronault Savvy, hahaha!!😝
@@ChrisWeevilGarage hahaha
I see they had issues removing the rear plate? All sorts of cracked up
Nah, the car came like that, someone else had removed them much, much earlier 😉
Nice Ferrari. What's the retail on one of those? 🤭
What Ferrari? Ahem.😝🤭
looks realy akward the gear are diffrent places eh
Yeah, it's very European, same shift pattern as my Brickwagon 😊🙏🏽👍🏾
