To anyone perpetuating this kind of song you clearly don't recognize the racist undertones. There is a difference between humor and insult, to confidently assume all Asians are Chinese is ignorant, this picture tells on itself, a picture of a man that doesn't even look chinese plastered with the KOREAN language on it.
Can you imagine if a chinese person made up something bout "Khu-Lee Khu-Lee only like fry, doubles, roti and greasy aloo pie" or "Kree-old Kree-old doh want to wuk, only robbing chinee shop," its concerning how ignorant the locals are and the comments they would make passing them off as jokes
All these decades Trinidadian are being openly racist to the chinese but hiding behind the excuse that "All ah we is one" and "is we culture" "Is jes kicks nothing to be offended about." My best friend is Chindian (Chinese and indian) the disgusting things our classmates would do such as slanted eyes and such was so infuriating. Nothing more infuriating in this song, anytime i hear this openly in public I just feel more ashamed of this country and before you go off talking about "oh its a trini ting" as a national citizen I rather not be associated with your ignorance by calling my counter-parts insults, y'all think this kind of thing is okay? Let an Indian call a black person or vice versa call you something you deem "degrading" and watch all of y'all turn around and bawl racism. To any foreigner that may have come across this video unfortunately, I sincerely apologize.
And to you citizens reading this, take the time to educate yourself. Just because you belong to a 'diverse community' means you have the right to insult another person's language and culture. Stop assuming all Asian individuals are chinese, just say "asian" or address the personal as Sir or Miss. I couldn't imagine the appalling behavior the Asian community has had to put up with. Stop projecting your problems onto them, I see some individuals speaking about "oh well the chinese are discriminatory against black persons." I DIDNT KNOW YOU MET ALL THE CHINESE PERSONS IN THE WORLD?? That has nothing to do with being chinese and everything to do with that individual just being racist, stop assuming what you don't know. Clearly many of them like it here because they have been living here for 3 generations and doing well business-wise. Take a good look at yourself in the mirror. I don't want to hear nothing about "wElL mY cHInEsE fRIeNd have no problem with it." THATS NOT THE POINT, if you would take the time to read up on these things you would know world-wide these things have racist and ignorant connotations. You sound like one of those white persons going around saying they have a black friend so it's okay, SO WHAT.
I have nothing more to say except that change starts with you and mindsets show a lot about a person's character, stop living as a hypocrite endorsing hate disguised as humor. People are claiming this is "trini-culture" but do you really want to propagate ignorant race stereotypes as our culture? Is this the image you would like to present to the world?
( for all the keyboard warriors, sincerely, this is a person of Asian, African and venezuelan descent living here about 21 years now, so no I'm not foreign. But me speaking out doesn't have to do with the fact that I am Asian myself but that I'm a human being, please do better guys. )
Sincerely, a person of Asian, African and venezuelan descent.

      1. It's an old song(older than me I believe. I'm only 17 tho).
      2. It's not that deep. It's a song for Christmas of all holidays.
      3. This song is a Trinidadian song. Trinidad is a hot pot of every race on earth basically.

    I am offended by this.
First off, "chinee" is pejorative and leads away from inclusion. The meaningless sounds mock and demean the Chinese language and Chinese people. For many Trini Chinese, we have patiently endured these insulting taunts since childhood and feel humiliated whenever confronted with these nonsensical noises. Hope you understand.

Yes I understand, unfortunately we live in a culture that supports this type of behaviour. We complain about racism and then call each other names pertaining to their race.
