Mandelbrot World Record Attempt - Part 3 (e4000 to e6000)

- The deepest Mandelbrot zoom ever! This zoom is over 24-hours long, uploaded to TH-cam in 11 parts. It will finish on a mini-Mandelbrot. As such, I am claiming a world record for the deepest Mandelbrot video! I have kept to the traditional colouring style for this one. Consider playing your own music while you let this one roll. Sit back, relax, and soak it in.
This will be the only time I ever attempt a video this deep. Rendering around the final mini-Mandelbrot is just too computationally expensive to try again; I have other things I wish to achieve now. If you wish to claim the deepest Mandelbrot title, and would like me to acknowledge it, here are my conditions: It must finish on a mini-Mandelbrot, it must be rendered in at least 4k, it should double in depth no faster than once per second, and you should publish the coordinates.
Finally, a huge thank-you to my supporters on Patreon, and my loyal subscribers who have made this channel possible! If it wasn’t for you, this content would not exist.
I always turn off mid-roll ads so you don't get interrupted! You can support this practice by joining Patreon, super-thanks, or making a direct one-time donation: donate.stripe....

Thanks for the Tremendous effort showing us this Mandelbrot that most has never seen,.. Amazing
Congrats! Wow!
Wow
Much prefer the traditional coloring style. Awesome video! My 7 year old is mesmerized by these. He loves watching for the mini-Mandelbrots when they get near the end, but for this set, he'll have to wait a bit! :D
My brain loves the escape to insane sanity & cornucopia of spiral existence
😮 👏👏
Is this where youve been?
Yes. My PC has been busy
Super impressive. Must of cost tens of thousands of dollars in electricity
Its prob solar power 😂 did u hear those beats?
@trCore
Thanks
Lovely Celtic cross at 50:27!
Woohoo 🎉
😎
In my humble opinion, every math teacher should show a Mandelbrot zoom when they introduce imaginary numbers.
I can support this!
i watched that long enough that the comments are imploding
That is literally what we are

What is the programm for render this Mandelbrot set
2:07:16
How is it so deep ...?
Is there one complete file or did you segment the dive as you went? What was the accumulative 11 part file size?
It is made from one dataset, but I only have 11 mp4s at the moment. About 125gb each rendered at 120bps h265 to keep the quality up. They could easily be combined into one for offline, but would be too big for YT.
(YT does downsample a lot, but I like to upload high quality to future proof them, as YT encodes them from original if they add new codecs)
@@MathsTown This is history in the rendering! Great stuff.
Are parts 4 and 5 coming out? Their premieres are missing from your channel.
Yes, see links in description.
@@MathsTown The links in description go to videos that show as unavailable both from the US and the UK, so if they're uploaded then they're broken for most of us at least.
Wow, it alternates between 8 and 16 symmetry all the way from start until 50:40!!
Enlighten me regarding what you mean by 16?
@@auggiemarsh8682sure. Look at 1:06. Lots of examples of 16-fold, but usually for limited time, spending most time in 8.
32-fold at 2:29
@@auggiemarsh8682you'll see your first 16 at 1:05. Then again at 1:27. And so on.
Ich kann nur sagen... "Sapperlott" des isch oglaublich" (das war Schwäbisch) 🙂
Felt repetitive. Went from / to x to X to - to ÷. 😮💨
Rubbish.
