Omg ,thank u so much on the Port Townsend boat show vid. Sooooo much wood floating on the water! Hazy! Perfect word for that rainy day LOL.... Thanks again Peter.......
Thanks Peter for the vicarious tour of many beautiful wooden boats and intriguing Port Townsend. I'm especially happy to see that Geordie is enjoying his elder years in peace and dignity with you. Cheers, Kim.
I enjoy watching this channel for many reasons, boats, sailing, woodworking, beer to name a few but mainly because it's a reminder and wake up call that life is something to be enjoyed and not spent slaving away in an office and commuting to work in traffic jams... cheers
I watch the Cohoe all the time and need to get on that sucker and sail into the hazy haze and get over to Port Angeles to see an old friend....and now Port Townsend. Looks like a fantastic town. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. I have been watching you since before this was posted. I remember watching it before. I don't know why it popped up again but I was surprised to see Geordie. We too recently lost our dog. I wish we had vids like this to remember him by. Thanks for letting us get to know him at least a little.
Wow wow what a dazed and hazey video. Great music, used to live at point Hudson when it was a trailer park.got into working on boats when I lived there. Used to have a pulsbo 18 ft boat moored at the marina. We used to watch the charter boats come in to point Hudson with all of the canvas up and the husband's screaming at the wife while the wind would push them side ways lol many of times the wife would Strom off with the Visa card and show him lol.
Thanks for the boat show video, we really enjoyed seeing the boats. Thanks for the mini tour of Port Townsend as well. Going to have to try some of that hazy type beer. Cheers!
I'm hooked on Simons channel, I can relate to fixing up a old boat no one wanted. I can only imagine this is leading me to buy another old boat I have no place to put =) I have lined up a old wooden sailboat.... Nothing good can come of this.....
Was lucky enough to be able to attend the festival, but didn't spend nearly enough time to see all the boats. Was lucky to have a tour of SCOUT II - what a lovely boat! The owner is practically my neighbour, so I hope to see Scout again :-) Thank you for great video!
Geordie truly is a magnificent dog. You’re a lucky man to have him as your shipmate. Great channel. One of the highlights of the week is getting the bell that you and Geordie have posted an upload. Great stuff. Thank you.
Wow it was a great time I've enjoyed the boat festival somehow it seemed very (Hazy) did it rain a lot while you were in Port Townsend!!! Thanks for sharing Peter!!!😍
Mike Biron i have to be fair, i also like Sail Life and as an owner of a steel boat also dangar marine and sv seeker. But i like the woodcraft, dog, food and beer knowledge of this channel. Oh and i also have (Or had) a perkins 6354
Actually Port Townsend has a Really nice boat harbor. It's very active, with a large haul out area large lifts, and all the craftsmen you could wish for. It;s about a 1/2 mile south of town and well worth the walk. A lot of very devoted people that love their jobs ride in to the boat yard on their bikes around 7:am on with their dog running beside them, Time for coffee and conversation before starting their day. I'm sorry you missed it. I always did my haul-outs in Port Townsend everything you need is within walking distance of the yard.
What a great video, I was just there about two weeks before the festival. Got to see the Western Flyer. Love Port Townsend. Looks like the sky was a bit HAZY for your visit. Good thing you had a brew that went along with the sky...
Hazy day, oh well. It’s the NW, I have been living in Mexico for the last few years. I came here the year of the pandemic cancellation. Am enjoying it here, just had a pacemaker inserted, recovering now. Hopefully I’ll get to the show this year. By the way, health care in Mexico is great. Rocky
I love Port Townsend. The plan in its younger days was to be the "New York" of the west coast. The railroads did not cooperate. Many lumber millionaires built huge mansions on the bluff overlooking the lower town. Most are bed and breakfasts now. I spent my second honeymoon in one there many years ago. Thank for th nice words and the nice look around at the boats and the town.
I was watching a series of vids on restoring the Western Flyer and remember wondering if Peter was aware of this.I believe it is going on in P.T. Enjoy your trip and tks for another vid. Darryl in sometimes Sunny Sooke.
What an extraordinary experience you gave us this week, Thank you, Peter! You really focused on the boats, and frankly that’s why a lot of us are here. There were several that were just breathtaking, I am going to have to make it a point to get to one of these festivals soon. And sell everything I own and cruise unendedly. But I digress. Oh, and “Hazy”.
Hazy, love watching your you tube site my wife was born in BC I meet her there got married, stayed for many years then work had us living all over Canada. We are presently in NB on the Northumberland Straight in a small town of Grand Barachois.
Wonderful video. Thanks for making it! The sky was a bit hazy though. I want to be a vendor at the craft fair nearby next year and wander over to see all of the boats as well! Cute dogs!
Seeing all these wooden boats damm near brings a tear to my eye. When I think of all the foolishness of million dollar paintings & sculptures I shake my head.
Just ran across your channel, enjoyed the tour of Port Townsend and the boat festival. Wooden boats have so much more character than fiberglass ones, love the smell of varnish as well. Since you like hazy IPA's, try Hazy Little Thing by Sierra Nevada, its my favorite these days
Could have had onboard lifestyle, Sampson boat co, western flyer and you on the same show, (you were all within miles of one another)all my favs! ,,,,,/),,,,,,fair winds sir.
Thanks for the tour of the Port Townsend Boat Show. I love Port Townsend and spend time there every time I am out west, but I have never been there for the boat show. I have been going there since the 60s. My parents even lived there back in the 80s and 90s. Unfortunately September is when we normally have interactions with Hurricanes so I can't leave Maine then. This year boat show weekend was our visit with Dorian on its way to Nova Scotia. It is amazing how many bots they get into Port Hudson. I usually stay in the Water Street Hotel. It would be very cool to be able to take Tortuga to the boat show, but the cruise is just a bit too long. Did you try the soup and pie at Hillbottom Pie?
Love your series! I’m down in Seattle. You forgot to mention that Port Townsend is the wooden boat capital of the West Coast at least I think of it as that. Maine would be the East Coast.
I have some friends that live in port townsend. They have a band called "The Crow Quill Night Owls' old timey blues, jazz and jug band music from the early part of the 20th century. If you ever get a chance to catch one of their shows I highly recommend it. I think they p!at at a local PT bar called Sirens sometimes. Cheers that show looks like great fun !!! So many beautiful boats one of these days I will get one! Love absolutely love your videos.
Great town I'd love to visit it, when I plan to visit I'll b looking for a vehicle that has no rust. U need to go a couple hundred miles off the coast. And it is much closer to mn. ( the rusty state). They use too much salt on the roads in the winter. Hazey thanks so much for the wonderful videos. U r a professional , in my eyes... Victoria harbor is gorgeous. I think the ur boat lines are perfect, I wish it were a little bit longer. Rough seas might b a little hairy! Doug😊
Decades BAC thought about moving to either Port Townsend or Angeles..take the Stern wheeler to BC..C if find an oriental wive have kids..also the scenery..but..

You were a bit hazy on the details of the Monk you admired from the other dock.(5:30) Did you get to board it and see the interior? How does it compare to your boat?
A bit hazy on the details on some of them purdy wooden works of art. Would love a deeper dive into some of the history (and interiors) next festival. Hope to see you out on the water! I'm hooked on Simons channel, I can relate to fixing up a old boat no one wanted. I can only imagine this is leading me to buy another old boat I have no place to put =)
I have lined up a old wooden sailboat.... Nothing good can come of this.....
Haven't been to PT Boat Fest for 10 yrs., but many before, never have seen so many powerboats there.
With all the low clouds around, the visibility is a little hazy! Great video! Thank you!
Since I have been binge watching your videos I notice that you drink at least 1 beer every 20, or so, minutes. You must have quite a buzz. 🍻👍 Cheers!
Beautiful little town. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍🍻
Looking thru the maze of timber boats out of the haze pops a Monk to remind you of those halcyon hazy days of times gone by!
Thanks for posting and sharing. I really appreciated your camera work on the boats at the show. HAZEY!👍🙂

One of my best beers that I brewed was a hazy IPA that I called "Smooth Hopperater". What a fantastic beer it was!

The weather looked a little hazy there at Port Townsend. Wish you would have stopped by the rebuild of Tally Ho.
Hazy days
It was a bit HAZY the other day when I was at sea trawling but that was ok as I kept a close eye on my radar to watch out for other vessels
