When you name a song something as baller as “Parasitic Cleanse” it had to be a banger. This is, at the very least, a banger and a half! They still can’t make a mediocre track.
If you haven't go back and listen to them from start to present, its a great journey and their first 3 albums are incredibly impressive. Every album is masterful
If ya'll haven't and want more in the same vein as this, this vocalist has/had two other projects: Sianvar which was a not quite as heavy, slightly more psychadellic, and weirder version of Hail The Sun; and Nova Charisma which is a slightly more indie rock take on this style. Both of which have more than enough similar elements for me to be confident in saying you will like them.
Dude his screams sound so great in this and those instrumentals SLAM! I’m thinking there will be a good amount of heavy songs considering both of the singles now have been pretty heavy (this one more so)
Hell yea. So smooth and perfectly blended in. Low growls adds more dark depth and reflection of the sickening message. It compliments their melodic groovy soul. There may be more on the sick album coming boys.
0:40 bro the guitar riff is so insane like I love the song but once I stop listening to the words and just listen to the riff. Bro that shit is to die for.
Long time fan here, thank you for dropping a new song the riffage is awesome and the vocals clean and on point as always, the drums feel cohesive as fuck and you did an 11/10 job you deserve to hit the top guys, keep them good songs coming
Patreons rise up! Another absolute fucking banger from my all- time favorite band. The heavy beginning was a pleasant surprise. Might do a track review for this one.
It's sickly dynamite My super metal jazzy animated truther brothers. You've have done it again. Love the more brutal death metal screams, matching the emotional tragic sickening melodies and revelations of fear and self hypocritical sickness, sung operatically and poetically about how we destroy what isnt us and what seems sick when that's the sickness, that were deciding what is bad and slowly dying in killing off ourselves and what makes us who we are. It's like a more brutal soulful nostolgic melanchonly jazz of cosmic energized tranquility and futuristic city classical life. proud of you and really can't wait for the album now.
My girlfriend introduced me to Hail The Sun only a few weeks ago. New Age Filth immediately became a top 3 all time album for me and Parasitic Cleanse became a top 3 song! This band is fucking amazing!!!
This is the Hail the Sun I know and love! Always bringing something new to the table, experimenting and pushing their own limits, you guys are the god damn best.
These guys were always on the verge of being something I would love. Something was missing I couldn't ever put my finger on. Whatever that might be, they sure as shit found it in this song. I'm very much looking forward to this album.
Finally a modern post-hardcore track about global warming and COVID-19! I can jam to this real quick. Badass riffs as well! The vocals are excellent! (Mr. Burns voice)
@@jondoe1916 8/6 8:15 (eight six eight one five) in 1945 was when Hiroshima was hit with a nuclear bomb. It is about how shitty people are to one another, but on a global scale, not a personal one. So I think global warming is in that too.
I know it's insanely hard to sing at this level and play drums but Donny always did it so well. Honestly though, they could shit on a shingle and I would love it. They can do no wrong in my book. Too damn good.
Deep lyrics. Relatable on the concept of God and how it feels to be in a sense of decay while we wait for something that may just be the reaper. Lol that’s what I got from it. Can’t say I’ve never felt that one before.
NOT A SINGLE BAD TRACK. THIS IS A CERTIFIED HOOD CLASSIC.
This is already shaping up to potentially be their best record yet.
It’s a bloody banger alright
This comment aged well
@@yammyyamz3076 for real. The album is so good.
I totally agree
They were always good, but have evolved to be among the greatest ever in this style
HOLY SHIT THIS SLAPS, the boys are fuckin baaaaacccckkkk
dude why did you steal my comment, I was about to say the same fucking shit
When you name a song something as baller as “Parasitic Cleanse” it had to be a banger.
This is, at the very least, a banger and a half! They still can’t make a mediocre track.
After hearing this and Domino, I think it's safe to say Donovan is writing the best music of his career.
that's too limiting dude, you can't cap him off like that. artists can always grow if they're willing!
@@dEAthlikEstAtic I should've added "so far" at the end of my statement. That's what I meant.
this is fucking incredible, this band never disappoints
I see that BMTH icon, we got a man with taste in these parts
@@theactualNDJoJo with really good taste that album is underrated as f
This shit is wack😢
My 17 year old son introduced me to Hail The Sun. I can't stop listening now. So powerful!
And they earned a new fan. Gonna check out the rest of their music now
their album wake is absolutely amazing
Elephantitis is awesome
You're in for a ride
Same here my buddy just sent this to me🤘
Check out Sianvar and Nova Charisma as well. Same singer!
0:41 is so fun sounding
This song is stupid good holy shit
2:39 the background vocals came in and my body turned pixelated and I ascended.
10/10 track.
Recently discovered this band through their former single "Domino" and honestly they've skyrocketed to my top 3 bands easily.
I discovered domino like a month ago and now i love all their songs. Absolute masterpiece of a band
Ive been listening since their album “wake” and it’s my favorite album of all time. All of their work is magnificent
If you haven't go back and listen to them from start to present, its a great journey and their first 3 albums are incredibly impressive.

Have fun listening. I randomly found this band after TH-cam recommended me a song. If you haven’t, check out their EP Elephantiasis. It’s so good Imo
I love that I had Nova Charisma to tide me over until new HTS dropped. Never take Donovan breaks
This one is actually sounds a lot like Nova Charisma too and i really like it.
Cheers to that, buddy!
Fuck yes. Hope the album has more heavy tracks like this. Donovan's screams are sublime.
Dude his screams sound so great in this and those instrumentals SLAM! I’m thinking there will be a good amount of heavy songs considering both of the singles now have been pretty heavy (this one more so)
@@elementyourmom i agree. The production also lends itself to the heavier sound so i definitely think that what we’re gonna get
They said there’s one song heavier than this one
@@viciousoz4188 where did you see them say that?
@@elementyourmom Instagram live yesterday
Reminiscent of that DECAYYYYYYYYYYYYY at the end of The Amulet
Donovan is crazy. I don't know how can he sing like that and not get tired
He has an angelic voice
And sometimes he's doing it while drumming. The dude is Fuckin insanely talented.
Whoa! I didnt expect that heavy beginning!!! And the guitars are giving me Elephantitis vibes! I'm loving this!!!
Yes elephantitis for sure!
Well yeah, the guitars on Elephantitis and this both sound like The Fall of Troy. Lol. Not that I'm complaining
Donovan is everything great about the genre all in one. By far my favorite musician for years now. Incredible consistency.
" If god is watching us this must be what it wants"
"Acting under pressure anything is justified
Doing what they're told"
"Make us suffer silent so you can all pretend that you don't see"
👏
Need to hear more of Donovans lows ASAP.
ikr that shit was clean
Hell yes! I thought the low scream was Shane
Hell yea. So smooth and perfectly blended in. Low growls adds more dark depth and reflection of the sickening message. It compliments their melodic groovy soul. There may be more on the sick album coming boys.
I bought the record, I buy their clothes, This band deserves every penny. Bang up jobs, gents.
Both of these singles have slapped so hard. Way to go, HTS!
The scream after "Decimated"...that whole "WaitIIIIIIIINNNNGGGG" just gives me chills. Christ it hits so hard
Referring to god as 'it' (1:20) is one bad ass power move
I think it’s more of a reference to the fact that assigning a human gender to a deity is ridiculous and ‘it’ makes more sense.
That feeling you get when all your hairs’ stand up after hearing THAT song! Keep up the great music guys!!!
"If god is watching us, this must be what it wants" is what did it for me. Every hair on my body stood up straight.
frisson.
They truly harnessed the years of 2011-2014 and i am here for it Hail The Sun will save Post music.
0:40 bro the guitar riff is so insane like I love the song but once I stop listening to the words and just listen to the riff. Bro that shit is to die for.
Immediately love this song.
This could be the best chorus I’ve ever heard in my life.
This band is so ridiculously good, it’s like glassjaw at the drive in and circa survive had a baby and named it hail the sun
I wanna cry this song at warped tour with a nice emo girl on my shoulders crying too
lmao that would be the sauce but unlikely if u are so open abt it lmao. i support you
They don't make emo girls anymore
Long time fan here, thank you for dropping a new song the riffage is awesome and the vocals clean and on point as always, the drums feel cohesive as fuck and you did an 11/10 job you deserve to hit the top guys, keep them good songs coming
100% agree
Holy shet i can't wait for this fire album to drop
Song groves so damn well, then they hit you with 1:29 - 1:43 then gets toped off with the “UH” 👌👌👌👌👌 absolute perfect song writing
His voice gives me huge anthony green vibes. But different at the same time. I love it.
Yo....this is really good. What a time to be alive.
Saying that they did a fantastic job on this is an understatement
Patreons rise up! Another absolute fucking banger from my all- time favorite band. The heavy beginning was a pleasant surprise. Might do a track review for this one.
yea patreon-squad
Dudes, I've been listening to this song all day and it's so damn good that I commented 3 times. Wtf...
2:19 to the end is absolutely addictive.

Ooh my new favorite song
I've never heard of this band before, but this song's sound and style reminds me so much of Dance Gavin Dance! Which I like!
No way, DGD is my favorite band but Hail the Sun is on another level.
i’ve never been so hyped for a new album, remember discovering them back when wake came out, loved it instantly and all their music before and after
These guys have reached a whole new level. The album is tremendous

I just discovered this band and I’m so mad I didn’t know who they were earlier because holy shit
Not familiar with this band but enjoying going back through their stuff. This tune has Saosin vibes.
Safe to assume it's worthy of being on repeat.
YEs, Anthony and Donovan sounds a LOT like each other. But Donovan is obviously waay better imo hahahah - its like circa survive with a hint of metal
This is the Hail the Sun I know and love! Always bringing something new to the table, experimenting and pushing their own limits, you guys are the god damn best.

That dude that hangs out on the roof in silicon valley is a pretty solid singer.
They are just as amazing live. This song is a banger.
