Lovelyz didn't get hate because they struggled vocally, it was because they struggled to adapt to the concept. That's why only Jisoo and Babysoul were praised in comparison to Kei who sang everything in a cute way
i kinda wish they gave the 1st high notes part to haneul, but i guess she cant do it yet.. so im waiting for that time, cause she(and the whole group) is still improving
The more Haneul is with Belle the more she is adapting to Belle's technique and I'm like damn! Maknae's skills is catching up. Imagine having two unique godlike vocals in one group. Kiof really is a new breath in kpop
While Belle has a wider range, Haneul already has a healthier technique for belting. The chorus of this song sounds better and easier in Haneul's voice.

But you can see that there is a lot of tension in Belle's throat to push more power. In Belle's case, I think she does it for style also, maybe the company really wanted her to be the korean Ariana. Taeyeon in her early years used to have a smaller range but very grounded technique that allowed her to have that "full" sound. She was already a vocal beast before being signed to SM. Haneul is doing really well too, especially for a lead vocalist.

This song was released in BEG's 6th year, they were already experienced and matured as performers and singers. I think it is very brave of KIOF who are still fresh and have many possibilities, to pick this song, and they did a great job.
KIOF handled this song absolutely smartly. It's quite obvious that Belle's vocal is not as powerful as JeA's prime and also does not have the punching effect that JeA possesses. But they arranged the song in a way that allowed Belle to do a glissando in the climax instead of going right away into the high note like the original version, which helped her get a good chest mix and execute the note correctly.

In the original version, JeA jumps straight or almost straight to the note (because she is capable of doing it) while Belle needs to slide from lower range to higher. Also, it's not that JeA unable to do whistle note, it is more likely that only Belle is confident and skillful enough to handle whistle notes. I think we can all see that in their discography so far.

This is literally the best cover of Sixth Sense. No one ever tries to do the high whistle note and Belle DID THAT. Natty and Julie always serving. Haneul was stable and her voice really matched Narsha's parts.

As an Everlasting (BEG's fan), I'm just so thankful and proud to Kiss of Life for covering this song, and they did so well. Recent groups very rarely covers Brown Eyed Girls, I'm just so happy they opens up a new door for recent KPop fans. If you're a new KPop fans, please give them a listen~ Their songs are timeless and the group itself parallels with Kiss of Life in a lot of ways.
