No matter what state Raylan and Boyd individually are in, their repartee always has the underlying dynamic of two friends shooting the shit on a front porch.
This is written long before it was written It's like Games of thrones. The author spends decades creating backstories and characters And those writing the scripts lift from the best. when you leave them alone, they cant do it.
Mainly? DEI hiring practices. Having a gender and ethnically balanced writing staff is more important than having a talented, skilled, and experienced writing staff.
@@macmcleod1188 Do you honestly believe that?. Seriously, do you HONESTLY think that you can't find, in a pool of some 150 million women, and 9 million gay, and 41 million African Americans * , sufficient talented people to stand up against the other talented people?. Ignoring the fact that many of the MOST famous writers and many of the MOST famous artists in history have been gay. This is why prejudice is stupid, friend. Have to wonder how the market for "Raylan hats" is doing these days. Someone probably made a nice chunk of change selling them during the first three or four seasons of the show.
People look at Raylan, and think he's a good lawman. I see a man who shouldn't be one. in this snippet, we see Raylan trying to create something, that he doesn't need to. In real life , he should be fired. His answer is always shoot the bad guy, and violate the law to intimidate. Like shooting up Dewey's pool. And he should be the last person to go after Boyd. They know each other too well.
Well he got in the profession for the wrong reasons. He takes his anger towards his criminal father out on criminals he has to deal with on a daily basis rather than any real respect to the law. And Art has called him a lousy marshal, but a good lawman because he does get results with his methods, unorthodox and out of his usual purview, but he takes down scumbags who would make life a living hell for regular citizens.
He obviously has the same issues the others have like Boyd and Dickie they were products of their environment, raylan joined the law as a fuck you to his old man,but it's still there that mindset.on a rewatch it's not difficult to see how different raylans life could have been with him and Boyd on the same team.
Serious? How so? He was too simple and too impatient. Even in this scene ready to pick a fight and cause himself unnecessary legal problems? Probably end up dead, hospital, jail or prison.
I love Boyd's reaction "He did not!" like he was hungry for gossip.

Still a favourite acting duo. Fed off each other well.
they had the best relationship of the show by far. There is no Justified without Raylan AND Boyd
Man I sure like Boyd’s choice of words…. “I’d love to know what ‘precipitated’ that conversation…”
“I might have a nut or two for your trail mix.”
This episode tells us the future. the Fall of Devil, and Boyd caring for Raylan's father and his dementia.
The fact Boyd knew it was Raylan before he even saw him was crazy. He knows how he opens a door
Why, oh why dare I ask ... Can't these muppets in tinseltown write like this anymore.. This was truly , the Golden Age of prestige telly.

Put a chic in it, make her gay and lame as hell

@@slewone4905comparing it to game of thrones 😂literally cringed
An Arlo when he was younger series needs to happen
The reason I loved this show is because it was an updated Deadwood hick style.
Its better than Deadwood imho. Raylan is way more badass than Bullock
"Well, you know what they say, gettin' old ain't for pussies." The writing in this show was seriously in a class of it's own.
That’s a common saying in the south
Damn, what a good show!
Poor Devil, you’re not gonna make it.
With a name like Devil, he should have outlasted them all😂
Give him the tap😅
"Getting old ain't for pussies". Ain't that the truth, I'm 77 years old.
Thank you for your efforts. May you and yours stay well and prosper.
*I WANT THEM TOGETHER!*

Raylan needed to get his ass kicked more in this show
That's it?
Ok
No

You shouldn't watch television shows for realism 💀💀💀
The real world needs lawmen like Raylan's character.

If you had grown up in a small redneck minin town you wouldnt say that lol.
Raylan and Boyd were great. Devil was the man though.
