If the son was so fantastic ( the way this comes across in this edited video) how come he didn't lift the heavy shopping bags up for his mum. The son could have made the meal as he is old enough. The other bairns could have helped in the kitchen as well. The father got in trouble as soon as he entered the house, no wonder he just smiles. He was interacting with the kids and giving them a bit of bread and fruit hardly enough to spoil their tea. Maybe the mum is scared to have time to think after her cancer treatment and so is doing so much. I think maybe the husband realises this and doesn't know what to do to help her feel better and lets her crack on. Pitting her son against the Dad is not doing anyone any good. I hope that she lets go a little and allows a little more muddle in her life. I get as a mum you want the best for your kids but its ok to have a slightly messy house or a no cook tea bairns want a happy mum not a stressed one.
