Andre Leon Talley is a verb. He has died and I am completely energized by his life, his unparalleled knowledge and education and his faith and his passion for beauty. This video is quite beautiful; thank you to Morehouse College.
I just learned about this beautiful brother. I feel sad that I had no knowledge of him although fashion illustration was once my dream. I love his authentic love for blk people and his infinite knowledge of our struggle in the past and present. May he always be remembered. I wish I could have met him because he loved our people. From N.J 1954 ☪️ Muslima.
This was so, so powerful. Since his passing, all I have been doing is watching videos of this giant of a man. He touched my life in so many ways even though we never met.
Bless his heart, thinking about him as a person, I believe he died of a broken heart, dismissed and ignored by the industry he gave so much. He seemed to be a loving soul, one who could not take the fatal blows of the people he walked by. To think this eminence was replaced by a 20 something youtuber says much about what that industry values. Rest in peace loved gentleman. May your legacy live long to keep paving the path of gentle and honest people.
He gave everything he had, What a precious gift...What a personality 🌹R.I.P🙏☝️🕊YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE YOUR SANCTUARY 🏠🌳🌾🌻🌲🍁🍂HERE'S TO PARIS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE 🗼🌹
What an amazing conversation. I cannot believe that I am just now discovering this interview now that Mr. Tally is gone. I made sure to subscribe to this channel!
My #1 person I'd want to have dinner and drinks with for hours on end! He is a true National Treasure! His book and documentary are a must if you want to even think about calling yourself a fashionista, stylist, or lover of fashion!
That’s an old Black Zion Song 🎵! Precious Lord is so beautiful and touching song!! The survival song; whenever you are going through!! Love the history lesson that Andre’ brought out of this song!! There’s so many black writers and creative black history!
What a beautiful mind and man, l also loved James Baldwin, small in statue, giant of a man. May all my ancestors Rest in Peace, we will never know what they went through.
I wish he had opened up a college to teach these things to the black folks. He would have encouraged our people to be strong and not look back when their faced with hardships.
He is a blk man coming up in the 50s an 60s ...he got in I'm proud...but he was up against a loosing battle.....that old mentality is gone...fashion such a fake business an shiesty.💃
There is a Duala proverb (bantu/Kamerun) that says.... ""*One Must turn his/her TONGUE 8 times (inside his/her mouth) before spitting any word out""*" Keeping your mouth shut will spare you from being vulnerable ( mocked at)
yo, if he was such a black national treasure ...why didn´t some great black force get this dude medical help...like an intervention for a three hundred pounder

Id like to see the unedited footage. Id like to know what he said about the modern day lynchings of today.
