- In May 2022, the San José Fire Department's newest fire station went into service. Fire Station 37 is not only beautiful, but it also expands coverage and improves emergency response times in the Willow Glen community. Not to mention it also enhances our overall system performance. Fire Captain Tyler Matcham gives us a tour and tell us more.

You know with that station built. It would be A Awesome idea to fit a 2nd Freightline Engine (E237) and also a Ladder (L37) to expand out the Call volume said Station 37.

Thank you! There may be additional units added at a later time, depending on needs. Nothing is confirmed at this time.
@ Np! Oh okay. What unit would you think we be station there if it ever happens? I am guessing a tanker or brush unit if it’s a woody/rural area.

The station had opened not too long ago when we filmed this, so I'm sure they've put in something by now! Our crews love pickleball.
