Our high school experience got cut short, we missed out on so much. It feels weird not preparing for the new school year, we’re not gonna see the same people we’ve been with basically all our life. Having to make new friends, some of us are moving away and starting over. This is a beautiful song and my first time hearing your voice I look forward towards what you make in the future as an artist. 💕

Class of 2020 and me too! I remember they told us it’s probably nothing but we’re sending everyone home early you’ll be back Monday and they pushed it so I graduated early because of the pandemic. I would give anything to go back and be able to have those last few months with my friends.

I love college, but I can't help but think about what I wouldn't give for my senior Cross Country season, or senior homecoming, or a normal Prom. I still have an empty place in me for the end of my junior year of high school, and my senior year. Class of 2021 will always be a part of me.

This is incredible!! I’m sure a lot of us can relate to this. The pandemic has caused high school to be so different and it hurts looking back at it but you know just gotta focus on the good times but it sure is confusing.
Class 2020, this hits but I have a bit of a different perspective. I was already online prepandemic because I was really sick. I didn’t really have anyone in high school, I knew I wasn’t going to get prom or class trips but I was going to be able to go to graduation. Graduate with my class I hadn’t seen pretty much all of high school due to being sick. And I never got that closure. 2016 was my freshman year and I got a few months of it, a taste before I was chasing getting back to the rest of high school. And I never got to. I got a diploma alone, no applause, no party. I like to think I didn’t need them but no one really said good job. And graduating 3rd in my class having overcome near death and none of my friends and most of my family didn’t reach out. I turned 18 alone. I turned 19 alone. And now I’m 20 but I haven’t had an actual birthday since before I was sick in 2015. And it’s not just the pain of the pandemic, which I know this song is about. But I never really got high school. I remember sobbing the night of graduation because all the work I had put into all of my schooling fizzled out with a “nice.👍🏻” I feel like I’ve missed everything. There’s a gaping hole in me that everyone else seems to have.
Class of 2020! My senior year ended in March when the schools shut down! Class of 2020 didn't even get to experience the best year of our lives! This song is so moving!
Class of 2023 and this STILL hits hard! Distance learning was SO hard and made me SO distant from everyone! Honestly, it was one of the hardest things we've all gone through in so many years! 💛

Class of 2023..I was just a freshman in high school when covid happened and it was hard because I was not going to see my friends or dance in the spring show for pep squad it was hard. My sophomore year of high school my school was still going virtual. My Junior and senior year of high school was exciting because we were all back in person and I got to see my friends and teachers. But I miss two years of my high school life due to covid. So this song really dose hit home for me. ❤

Class of 2022, Just half a year into high school, pandemic hit and it never was the same again. Online learning is really not for me, I learned nothing at school in the past 3 years. Didn't really get to connect with my classmates either and that is something I will never get back. Most of the crucial things for my major, I experienced and got taught of in the workfield. I have seen so many kids struggling and they always will because of this pandemic as they have a set back on education.
