How do the costs of the minions work? I figured it would be two stars equals two cost but it doesn’t seem to work that way. Can anyone explain the buying and selling costs?
Buy: 3 gold Sell: 1 gold
All minions cost three gold and sell for 1.
Once they're in your head you can play them for free (not free actually, because in this mode all the cards in your hand were bought before)

After this early access phase ends at 10 a.m. on November 12, we’ll enter Open Beta where everyone will be able to hop into Bob’s Tavern to try their hand at being the best of the Battleground Heroes!"

This mode is seriously boring to watch as a viewer. RNG decides almost everything both in combat and whether the thing you want appears on rerolls and things barely change round to round.

I don't mind that Bliz let's the streamers have some fun with these xpac's (and beta-test them) weeks before the rest of us can play. I really dislike that any new content is allowed to be broadcast though. It takes all the fun out of the game. I want to discover it myself, but I feel like I have to watch this to remain competitive. >.>

Probably it's me, but Battlegrounds looks a bit boring, I get it, it's something new in hearhstone, but it feels off somehow.
The variety and replayability just aren’t there

Because it's artificially injected into a game that has nothing to do with this stupid Auto Chess games that pop up everyday like mushrooms. Blizzard want to be in line with everything and every trend in gaming so they do this.

it doesn't bother me that the dev team saw an opportunity for a game mode - thats great , keep it up !
what bothers me is that this takes the basic hearthstone strategy, 1v1 turn-based interactions, and completely muddies the waters with this arbitrary 8player match? why? why is there a coin system? why is the player forced to sit and do nothing for long periods of time? that was the worst thing about hearthstone, so you made... MORE waiting? why?
this is ass backwards and, for my opinion, hot garbage. the diablo team knocked it out of the park. the overwatch team seems confused as to what they're doing. the modern wow team seems to seek classic emulation-only further proving the community was right, the hots team is a joke, the starcraft team is MIA, the international relations & streamer/community/event staff is all fucking whack, and the hearthstone team seems to want players not to actually play hearthstone.
david brevvik only needs to be proud of one team; and they won blizzcon 2019.
Because is trend . And because Blizzard does not want to start brand game from scratch . So what they did is using Hearthstone engine which is Unity. And they just heavily modified to feel like this stupid Autobattler/Auto Chess that is so popular now. This barely have to do with the original Hearthstone game expect some mechanics like Taunt, Windfury , Poisonous , Divine Shield etc... Blizzard just try to be smart avoiding to creating new game and just inject this mode into already extremely popular game Hearthstone . They did well. How good this mode is? It's not for everyone and is very far from card game , it's just RNG garbage and hi roll bullshit. I dont like but no one ask me so. It's there. At least will be after November 12th.
